the room is not that spacious. the smell in the corridor is a bit unpleasant. the swimming pool is close from September.

there's an outdoor playground and a play corner in the lobby. there's a small refrigerator in the room. the room is clean.

I'm sure it's a Netherlands thing but the price of breakfast was ridiculous. The hotel was expensive for what you got and out of the way, there were no cafes or restaurants near by.

The hallways to the room was dirty with old carpet and dangling spiders. The elevator close to reception was not working which meant using the stairs with kids and bags

Everything was great, and I didn't see any negative points.

I would like to express my sincere thanks to the management and the friendly staff of Novotel Rotterdam. Although I was initially given a room without internet, a fridge, and in a poor location, the reception team acted quickly and responsibly. They immediately changed my room and provided me with one that had all the amenities mentioned in my Booking reservation. The cleanliness of the communal spaces (hallways, gym) was lacking, cutlery on the floor near the door of our room, lots and lots of sand on the floor of the gym, the elevator floor was dirty and so were the windows of the corridors and stairs. The room smelled like cigarette smoke, apparently because it was above of the outer door and suffered from smoke coming in through the open window...

Very friendly and helpful staff, very nice and varied breakfast and well-equipped gym. Room and bathroom were small but clean.

They gave me room with out coffee corner ,the air conditioning was not working , the lift was very bad,the water very expensive 3euro per small bottle,cleaning rooms day after day not every day,the locker was broken after one day someone came to fix it The hotel was not fair enough 🥲🥲🥲

We booked 2 rooms for a family of 6 with 4 kids, the bed provided for kids were of very bad quality, noisy and weren't comfortable to sleep on. No brush in toilets to clean the toilet.

Room and bathroom was nice and clean, not any noise was noticed from the neighbors, the bed was comfy and clean. Great garden with some wild rabbits around was fascinating :), big swimming pool, and also nice place for the kids to play. Very big parking slots for 10euros per day and only 10min with train to the central train station in Rotterdam. Definitely we will come again.

* Our only complaint: We were 3 adults sharing the room. We were given only 1 small roll of single ply toilet paper, so we had to ration it!

The lack of staff at checkin. We had to wait for some time, before personnel finally came to assist. It seemed the desk person was helping other guests with towels or something. Hotel floors and chairs well used and could use an upgrade Hallway carpet old, stains, smelling in the hallways. (Smokers)?

Even though I booked a triple room and was charged for three people, the room was ready only for the two and we had to wait in the lounge until it was made ready. We actually came late in the evening, so the hotel did have enough time to make our room ready before we came. The reception staff wasn't very helpful either. The carpeting both in the corridors leading to the rooms and in our room was so old shabby and stained that it was difficult to decide whether it was clean or dirty. The room and the bathroom were very dark due to very poor lighting. The lighting in the room was so poor that it made reading impossible.

The restaurant and bar staff were very professional nice and helpful. The breakfast was good with a variety of food to choose from in general, but the choice of vegetables was very limited indeed, basically tomatoes and cucumbers, no salads. The restaurant was clean and spacious. The hotel also has a private car park at a very reasonable price.

The lift button was pulled out and not safe for kids, the kids play area was too small, and the parking is an extra. They didn’t refill the coffee and milk packets until we asked the next day.

I have not received my refund for the breakfast that could be supply. At the time of checkout the system was down and I have been told that was going to be done later. I have also sent an email never chives a reply or the refund. Ladies at the restaurant very rude.

One receptionist was superb great service. The only one.
