Everything about the property was great, except for the checkin staff, a little rude and unprofessional, for example: chatting with each other while the guests are left waiting until they finish their conversation, the man specially was speaking in a very condescending way, checked our passports and was like huhh.. idk why.. he spoke with his people in his mother tongue great but with us he was looking down on us

Main reason for choosing this hotel on such a warm weekend was the air conditioning and it was broken or not turning on. We asked the front desk if it could be fixed and was told it was being worked on both times but it still didn’t work.

The room had a TV, although most channels were in Dutch, which wasn’t an issue for us since we didn’t spend much time watching TV. It was still a nice touch to have.

I had a very pleasant stay at XO Amsterdam Hotel. The rooms were spotless, and the cleaning service was excellent. Every morning, they restocked the coffee capsules, made the bed, emptied the trash, and replaced the towels, ensuring everything was in top condition. The hotel is conveniently located near several dining options and within a reasonable distance of the city center, making it a great base for exploring Amsterdam. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, which added to the positive experience.

The location is not the best. It's not bad, but assuming you're going to Amsterdam for sightseeing, most are in the city centre. It takes about 15 min by taxi to get there or come from there, which is very costly in this city. So you'll be spending a lot of money extra, unless you're happy to walk for 50+ minutes (likely in the rain) just to get to the centre. Also would've been nice if check-in was a bit earlier. Official check in is at 3 pm, and if you want earlier, you have to pay extra (but the hotel at least does offer to keep your luggage prior to the check in).

The room was tidy and had plenty of space. The bed was super comfortable and I had a great sleep both nights. Bathroom was very clean and well-looked after. Wi-fi worked great. Breakfast also had a great selection and was of high quality. Really, all the services in the hotel are top quality and it is well worth the money. I enjoyed my stay.

The coffee machine in both of our rooms weren’t working correctly

The location is very well connected to the city, you can get to the main attractions within 30-35 minutes. The tram stop is nearby and there are also supermarkets very close to the hotel which was nice. We really like that there were iron and iron board in the room.

Rooms not soundproof at all you can hear doors banging the whole time, even worse during the morning. The shower head was kind of breaking and water would only come out if used on a certain way… Although its up to availability I requested a nice room since was my birthday and had a feeling they shoved us in the crankiest room in the building facing the backdoors with absolutely no privacy at all.

Close to a lot of nice places and close to the public transport stops.

all well but location was far from the center, although there is a tram station nearby, about a20 min ride to the center, the location of the hotel is in a business district, no cafes, almost no restaurants, not a lively place to stay

The lobby kind of gives a very dull reception to the incoming guests and the hotel could have a nice coffee shop!

Hotel is very close to the bus stand/ Tram station, it has 2 big supermarkets and several eateries around it. In terms of location its a little away from the central areas but the connectivity is quite convenient. Also a plus is that the room sizes are much larger than I had expected!

Rooms are not soundproof, which turns out to be a problem during late night movements through the coridor. Windows in our room could not be opened due to security concerns, as explained by the receptionist. At the same time, more than half of the rooms had their windows open, as seen from the street. It is unclear why some can be opened and others cannot. No fresh air for a longer stay is a minus, in my opinion. The hotel lobby had a strong sewer odour on some days. Compared to my previous stay one year before, the experience has not improved, even though it was more expensive this time.

Hotel is conveniently located, near tram and bus stops, therefore it is easy to get around Amsterdam. Generally, it offers good value for money.
