Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

PolandThe fact that the hotel is located in the national park with entrance restrictions means that on your way to the hotel your car will be searched by police and they will force you to throw away all of the plastic bottles. You also need to pay park entrance fee and wear hand-band. I also had a very unpleasant experience when on the way back to hotel from Tulum in the evening the police did not want to let me back in, despite the fact that I did have a hand-band confirming payment of the entrance fee and a confirmation of hotel booking. This was very frustrating as our kids stayed at the hotel and I only went to Tulum to get some food, so not being able to come back to them was really stressful.
Location close to reef. Friendly staff.

I have been to Tulum many times. This hotel is one of my favorite. They accommodate you above and beyond. I was so at peace at the villa. The manager is the one of the best I have come across. I 100 per cent recommend coming and staying here. Step out of your room and feel at a peaceful paradise.

United StatesA note about park entry: the villas are located within a national park, which makes things a bit stranger than they need to be. No reusable plastic or alcohol is permitted, and they do search bags/cars periodically, so you have to be a bit creative with regard to those two items. If you enter between about 9 a.m.-6 p.m. you ALSO have to pay an entry fee to the park, even though you’re a hotel guest. It’s 60MXN, and the hotel will reimburse you for it once. Transportation into town is a nightmare of over-priced taxis (25USD each way) as they have successfully made Uber illegal. If you can, try to find a private driver prior to your arrival to keep costs down. Also, if you arrive at the new TQO airport, be aware of the insane taxi prices, which can be up to 210USD one-way (yes, you read that right). We took the ADO bus, which was 7.50USD one-way into Tulum Centro, and then a taxi to the hotel for 400MXN. Considering there were three of us, that saved a ton of money. We found a private driver for the trip back to the airport direct from the hotel for 800MXN, which was nearly the same price as it would have been to take a taxi into Tulum Centro and then the ADO bus to the airport.
We just stayed at Villa Pescadores for a long weekend, and had an absolutely wonderful time. I can, without hesitation, recommend this hotel, and hope to go back soon! Communication with the hotel was excellent from the get-go, and they connect with you on WhatsApp (if you have it, of course) prior to arrival which makes it very easy to have travel questions, room service, activity recommendation, and transportation questions answered quickly and remotely without having to call. With only 22 villas at the resort, the atmosphere is wonderfully calm and relaxing. The rooms are very well-appointed (spring for the Deluxe King rooms with a balcony if you can!) and room service keeps them up every day. The bath products are really, amazing, and they provide their own bug repellent in the bathroom in your room, as well as bath and pool towels, and very nice bath robes. The beds are super comfy, and loaded with pillows. The rooms also have refrigerators for storage of food and beverages. Breakfast on the beach each morning is one of the highlights of the trip, and the food is absolutely delicious. Each day there’s a decidedly Mexican option available, as well as a more American/European (scrambled eggs, omelette, etc.) option. Each morning we were provided with a fruit plate or pancake starter option in addition to the main breakfast entrée.

United KingdomIt wasn't a dislike but it would be great if this hotel had the option for dinner. Having said that there are plenty of hotels in walking distance that do serve dinner so it's not a big deal at all!
Firstly the amazing staff should be the first reason should come here. Every member of staff was so friendly and attentive in all of out interactions and its nice to see familiar faces during our staff. The reception staff were always on hand to help with questions and organising, taxis, trips and they even helped us rent an atv that was delivered straight to the hotel which made the process super easy! The cleaning staff did an incredible job everyday and not a speck of sand was left in the bedroom. The bed was super comfy and waking up on the beach everyday was so dreamy! I loved the added detail of getting tea and coffee delivered to the room each day, it was so nice to sit outside in the morning with the calm and beautiful surroundings. The location feels extremely safe as its based in the jaguar national park. The breakfast in the morning exceeded expectations and the location of the hotel was beautiful. We had planned go to beach clubs before our trip but the beach club at the hotel was he perfect chilled vibe serving great drinks and food at a reasonable price. I would love to come back here and would recommend to any of my friends.

Czech RepublicThe hut is a bit small but ok. What i hated most is that they serve breakfast as late as 9. That is awful in case you want to make a daytrip and beat the crowds. And if you come back before 6, you need to pay for entrance to the national park (the hotel reimburses you in bar credit only for the first fee). And you basically have to leave at some point because they dont have a restaurant for lunches or dinner and you are not allowed to bring any plastics into the national park...
It is a nice place if you want to stay in Tulum at the beach or go to Tulum ruins. Very nice facility, friendly and helpful staff.

LuxembourgTaxi is expensive to go to and from the town. Breakfast could have started a bit earlier than 9am.
One of the best accomodations we have stayed at during our trip in Mexico. Very peaceful and quiet, right on a beatiful beach. We we were looking for something away from the noisy beach bars and this was the perfect location for that. Receptionists were extremely helpful with everything. When I had to leave early for a tour, they gave mea breakfast box. It's close the ruins and also you can take a snorkel trip from the beach since the reef is very close by.

This hotel was the highlight of our roadtrip in Yucatan Amazing spot right on the beach, we loved waking up early and drinking coffee while watching the sunset Comfy sunbeds at the beach club, delicious cocktails There isn't much in the area in the evening which means you get the beach to yourself when the sun goes down Staff was really nice as well

United StatesWe had a fantastic trip at Villa Pescadores. We were looking for a relaxing trip on the beach and that is exactly what we received. If you are looking for a party atmosphere this is not your place. I thought that the staff was really nice and helpful and the food was good and comparably priced to the other Beach clubs which is a bit expensive compared to in town. The front desk people are really cool and helpful. They bring coffee or tea to your room every morning which was THE BEST. We ate several times at the beach club and only one thing ended up not being very good which was the hamburger which he ordered medium and it came out raw. Oh well, things happen . Probably should have ordered well done. There are a lot of food options during the day but at night the food is a bit limited in the area so I would suggest a big late lunch or dinner on property. The property was beautiful and very relaxing. In the room they provided a safe, bug spray, sun lotion, shampoo, body wash, conditioner and hand soap which was great. They also have a ceramic water dispenser that they fill up and we used that our whole trip. Bringing a refillable water bottle is a must. The air conditioning is cut off during the day but we didn't find that to be inconvenient. They offer bike rentals for a price but we did not use them. The hotel also offers yoga twice a week for a donation to the teacher and I really enjoyed that. There was only a couple of us and I really like the yoga teacher. About a 10-minute walk to the ruins which was great. Keep in mind that you do have to pay 61 pesos to get into the park if you enter between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. and that has to be paid every day if you leave the park. The hotel will credit your bill for the initial park entry. In addition, plastic bottles and some other restrictions apply in the park but we were able to bring in a little beer and wine secretly. I was told that sometimes they search vehicles.
