Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. South AfricaThere were a couple of staff members in the main restaurant (the one where they mainly serve breakfast) who were quite unfriendly. I’m an early riser so I was able to secure chairs at the pool everyday, however I do think that more pool chairs are needed. The bathroooms near the pools need to be thoroughly cleaned throughout the day (not just a high-level “tidy-up”).
Really beautiful property, with stunning views from absolutely all over the hotel - there’s ocean-views from every corner of the hotel! The beach is gorgeous, with soft white sand, however you cannot actually swim in the water as the current is too strong. The staff were overall really great!

The staff was very attentive, they let us check in and enjoy the resort before our room was ready which was nice to get our day started. The staff was always available to help out and refill our drinks. The food was good with a good amount of options. We spent most of our time laying on the beach under the umbrellas

United StatesVery friendly staff, ocean view was excellent and the glass balcony always clean no pigeons (birds poop) very easy to get to Italian restaurant wonderful plenty of beach towels no limit and always available we had a full bar set up in the room big bottles not small shot bottles and a ice machine on each floor I can truly say this is the finest 5 star I have stayed in and loved the wonderful beach chairs with cousins even at the pool 😎 headed back in November

United StatesThere’s quite a bit of upselling going on. When we first got to the resort, we were so tired from traveling, all we wanted to do was go up to our room. we were asked a few times if we wanted to either upgrade our room or take a tour of a promotional new hotel. We were not interested in either yet, we were asked a few more times over the next couple days if we wanted to act on the promotion. We politely declined.
The resort is beautiful and very close to the airport. The views of the water were breathtaking. The staff were incredible and very friendly. I would definitely come back.

TurkeySometimes communicating in English with staff was challenging mostly with the staff that were working by the poolside or beach and food orders to the beach and pool could be delayed. But overall very minor details.
The food and the amenities were great. Both the rooms and the hotel itself were very clean and organized. Staff was very helpful as well. It was also a big plus that it was an adults-only hotel so it was very calm. The highlight was the room, the hot tub was amazing.

United KingdomThe entrance of the hotel didn’t feel like a 5 star establishment. All a-la-carte restaurants served disappointing food. The sales pitches at the start and end of stay came across forced and unnecessarily so reminiscent of a door-to-door cold caller experience.
The breakfast and lunch buffet, the rooms, the beach, the location. Most of the staff were very polite and friendly. The hotel was very clean.

United StatesAs expected for all-inclusive, food and drinks were average at best, with some exceptions (I really recommend the Beef Picanha at Fuego, it’s so good!). Most cocktails are very sweet/use premade mixer. Room service food has small portions and cooled down quickly, I’d recommend just going to one of the 4 restaurants. Depending on high/low season, you need to make dinner reservations for the restaurants which can make it difficult to get the times you want during a short stay. The first night it is understood that you should try to walk in somewhere, and they will do their best to accommodate you. Very pricey per night, though perhaps your use of the all-included amenities may make it a better deal than paying per-drink/per-meal at a similar but non-all-inclusive resort.
Very comfortable room and hotel - great service, beautiful pool and beach, and top-north entertainment. We spent both days down by the beach (get there early to claim a beach lounger with towels and a personal item or two), they have an ocean lifeguard on duty, staff to setup/move umbrellas for you, and waitstaff from the bar who will deliver drinks and snacks directly to you. The Palace Resort group has an app, which is actually quite useful for knowing what is going on when and for making requests like maintenance, room service, or dinner reservations. Your room mini fridge will be restocked each day, including the 3 Liter bottles of water (I drink a lot of water, this was much appreciated). We also requested the complimentary anniversary package, which added some extra romance to our stay. We went to one of the evening entertainment activities, the “Glow Motion Show”, and it was truly exceptional. Definitely worth checking out the entertainment programming, the hotel staff works hard on it to make their events and activities fun and engaging.

United StatesAt the end of my stay, I was approached with a sales pitch while waiting for my cab, less than 3 minutes before it arrived. Although the salesperson wasn't too aggressive, I declined the offer and expected it to end. Perhaps they could follow up with email specials (if they don't already). However, overall, it wasn't a huge deal for me.
I had a wonderful experience at the resort. Everyone from the front desk staff, bell boys, and resort staff to the room service was very nice and helpful. I wish I had stayed longer as I had a great time. The coffee shop and the gym were both nice. Although the resort was small, it had a relaxed and serene atmosphere. Additionally, there were no party animals around, which made my stay even more peaceful.

United StatesAs I said before everything was perfect. Only thing that we didn’t like that much is the “Italian” restaurant. Food was light years away from Italian tradition and culture.
Everything was amazing. Staff was always friendly, kind, helpful, never intrusive. They make us feeling home. The room had an outstanding view with a pretty balcony. It was huge, clean, well-stocked. The beach is so beautiful. Cocktails were really good in every restaurants. And the bartenders were always ready to satisfy your needs. We had really great time and we hope to come back soon.

CanadaSecond day went to presentation volunttarily to show off their newest resort near by. Very high pressure made to feel bad we did not earn millions a year. Skip the presentation just stay at the hotel.
