Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

CanadaThe breakfast at the restaurant was very delicious! Fruits with granola, toast, jam, eggs however you like. It was the perfect meal to get us ready for the hike to the butterflies and reasonably priced. The staff were incredibly helpful. They gave us suggestions about how to move onto our next destination when our plans went out the window. They were very kind and patient with us throughout. It was a little cold in the evening, but the beds had many blankets and there was a fire in the room. My only wish is that it stayed on longer! Overall a wonderful stay and would recommend it.

It is very cute and countryish. There are beautiful trees right outside. We got to take a private tour right to the butterfly sanctuary from our hotel.

CanadaThe beds were hard. The restaurant was not open during our mid week stay (not many at the hotel that night).
The hotel is located in a beautiful spot. Sitting on the balcony outside your room the view is gorgeous and so serene. Just totally lovely. There are flowers everywhere around. Our room was cosy and warm enough at night with the blankets. The shower had hot water. The beds were very hard and the pillows very flat--I bring my own. Everything was very clean. It is located at the south end of town, so would be a bit of a walk into the centre. We travelled by car, so this wasn't a problem for us.

United StatesThere is no heater in the room and u have to pay extra 200 pesos for some liquid to pour someplace in the room to heat it? Hot water in the shower is only for 1-3 minutes then it turns cold. They didnt have breakfast or dinner couple days because they ran out of food in spite of me calling ahead and telling them we need foood at their restaurant that specific day. They charged 200 pesos for one small dinner when in the restaurant in town it was 280 pesos for two people. The town is super cute but i would recommend staying in another town which better accommodations.
Location to the monarchs were great, you had to walk 30 minutes one way into town which is not bad.

We showed them the confirmation we received from booking.com where I made my reservation, but they said they had sent a message that the reservation had been cancelled. Booking.com did not forwarded this message to me. We had to find another hotel - fortunately we found a room a the Hotel La Margarita which was great.

United StatesThe restaurant was closed and there were no places to eat within walking distance. The towels in the room were dirty. There is no heat in the room which made the visit miserable since it was in the 30s outside.
The room was satisfactorily clean. Parking was convenient although the hotel is difficult to find.

United StatesThe facility didn’t have heating or hot water. This was terrible. They offered a fire place but this wasn’t sufficient for the temperature in the room. not confident in cleaning as someone else’s underwear was hanging in our shower. Gross.
Breakfast was good but they didn’t tell us what was included or prices - just brought things out and then charged at the end.
