The particular bungalow I stayed in, you could hear traffic and sometimes partying from the beach at night. This is no fault of Loma Linda. It's simply due to proximity to road and beach.

The view was exceptional. The bungalow was charming and rustic and the staff were very friendly and accomadating. Everything was as described.

We stayed in the queen room with sea view. It's about 20 meters up a hill with a stunning view looking south and west along Zipolite beach from the patio. The window in the room looks east and catches the sunrise in the morning. There's yoga onsite and a small restaurant for breakfast or lunch. The more upscale restaurants and town are a five minute walk along the beach. The constant crash of waves, ocean breezes, birds singing, rosters crowing, and the external bathroom (with the same views) gave this stay a very natural, outdoorsy feel, which we thoroughly enjoyed. We couldn't hear the music from the nightlife. There were mosquitoes at night and in the morning. The bed has a net. The room was listed as single occupancy but it worked well for us. We only used it for sleeping. Friendly owner and guests. Responsive staff.

My only criticism is the lack of AC, however there are ceiling and floor fans and the bungalows are designed to make use of breezes and shade.

As others have said, mosquitos are around. They kindly provided bug spray and some ointment if you need it. Also sunscreen, which I appreciated.

Beautiful, relaxing, quiet stay. The pictures don't do it justice. The location affords expansive views of all of Playa Zipolite and insulates you from the sound at street level. I had the best sleep here of anywhere I've stayed in Zipolite. Best breakfast view anywhere. The staff were all very kind and helpful. Loved getting to know Dieter, the owner, and appreciated his travel stories and tips. Don't hesitate to book the rooms with shared bathrooms - you get plenty of privacy (I was the only one using it for instance) and it's cool to shower outdoors. The architecture and tile work is itself a marvel. I changed my itinerary three times to continue staying. I'd never leave if I didn't have to!

No complaints but a couple of things to be aware of - we visited during an intensely hot period and there is no air con. Fans help but it can be difficult if you aren’t used to the heat. We found the sheets in our first room to be quite heavy although we never queried this with staff and only really noticed the benefits of lighter sheets when we changed rooms. While the grounds and the hotel are beautiful and really well looked after the amount of steps/stairs could be an issue if anyone has difficulty with walking/access etc.

An idyllic setting and very relaxing spot. We received a free upgrade for our first three nights which was much appreciated, although we stayed an extra night in one of the cheaper rooms and it was just as comfortable. The staff are really helpful and nice, and the owners make you feel very at home. A nice location beside the beach and the premises are spotlessly clean and really well maintained. The yoga classes with Izzasaku were really enjoyable - she is a great teacher!

We loved our stay at La Loma Linda. The staff and the host were really friendly, helpful and always up for a little chat. We felt welcomed right away. We also participated in the yoga classes in the morning which are suitable for every level. The yoga teacher was really warm and included all people in the best way. Our room had the most amazing view over the beach. Initially we thought the cabañas were further from the beach but it only took us 5 min and we were there with lots of options for great cafés and restaurants too. We can definately recommend staying at La Loma Linda.

Lots of steps to get to some of the bungalows. A microwave or coffee maker in the room would be nice.
