The facilities were amazing! Just like the photos, also the breakfast was included and it was delicious, you could choose from a variety of options and not just continental breakfast. It was beautiful

Service was not great, everyone working was very nice but no one really seemed to care. many employees are back packers that are not paid, they work in exchange for housing and food. Unfortunately this translated to mediocre service.

Only a little heads-up, the last 2 km of the way there are really off-road. Our taxi drivers didn't make a problem of it tho.

Amazing hotel, the room was perfect as well. The view over the lagoon is amazing and the kayaks are just laying there ready to be used.

The beds were really not comfortable, super soft and wobbly. My partner and I slid towards the middle, it's a shame because the hotel is really nice, but we definitely expected better beds for what they're charging

The location is really nice, you are away from the more busy part of town. Their pier is beautiful and you can use their kayaks and paddle boards to go explore the lagoon. The food is really good and they also have a pool! Great stay!

The employees have informed us to be quite as it is a kind of a relaxing place. They had team building activity which is super nice but they were also very loud during the night. It was disturbing and we had struggled to sleep due to the noice but I do not think that they have team building activity every week :)

The view was just perfect. The decoration and how the buildings are located is very pretty. You can swim in the lake which is so clean. There is very nice small pool as well which you can enjoy while having your drinks. Breakfast was tasty and tequila shots are big :)

the road, this road could be at least be leveled once a year , im sure there is enough budget for this good investment in favor of your clients that supports your business, and i'm sure that will bring more business and will give you good reviews. just a suggestion.

My score was 9/10 so please don’t be put off by the comments here. The hotel is fantastic. The road in is long and gets a little tedious in the end… we had a little car and it’s doable but takes 15mins going slow. Needs addressing immediately before it puts any more people off. The restaurant was beautiful but needs a better menu. After two days we had to go into town as half the menu is burgers, pasta and chicken nuggets which isn’t very authentic. The Mexican dishes need to be made a priority and could do with more flavour if only with sides of hot salsa or hot sauces to add spice and flavour. We would have spent a lot more on-site if we wanted to eat the food for lunch a dinner but only had breakfast in the end.

We had a fantastic time. Location next to the lake was great. The resort is beautiful with jungle foliage, large trees and great lighting at night. Balconies are lovely with hammocks. Rooms are excellent and beautifully decorated. Very quiet and relaxing. Breakfast was fantastic and very filling with fruit and granola to start and then a main dish. It was delicious. Bacalar is a great little place. Some fantastic restaurants on the front including La Playita, Mi Burrito van and Punta Corcho Bacalar. We had a tour to Becan Temple which was unbelievable and booked on Viator (TripAdvisor) and the tour guide Vlad was so lovely. You can climb the temple so it was the highlight of the holiday. Also, the boat tour on the lagoon was amazing by Day Tours which I recommended and very reasonable in price.

Everything was great!

Everything from the location, the beautiful sights, the accommodation, the wonderful staff, especially Monique, and great restaurant. The hotel is a bit distant from the center which made it a perfectly calm staying. Also the WiFi is perfect wherever you are in the property.

Its remote location makes it more suitable for guests with their own cars. There is no beach as such (probably typical of hotels in that area) and thus no space for a walk.

The rooms were very clean and comfortable. We had a beautiful view over the lagoon. The hotel offered kayaks and paddle board free of charge. It had a wooden pier to access the water and a small pool. The restaurant serves good food.

It is quite remote (which isn’t a bad thing but you should be aware if it) The WiFi is not good enough to work remotely - really enjoyed the stay but it is so remote and the internet simply is patchy so if you’re looking to be a digital nomad this isn’t the place for you
