Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesI loved the grounds. The landscaping is amazing. The communal kitchen was a nice feature. It was a very short walk to the beach, shops, and restaurants.

United KingdomThere is some noice from nearby nightlife but if you are in zicatela you can’t escape from that, so it’s not a comment on the property itself but just something to be aware of if you are thinking about which area is best for your needs.
Thomas and the whole team (and the other guests!) made me feel very welcome, as a solo traveller changing my accommodation at short notice, they couldn’t have been more accommodating. the hotel is as described - an oasis just off the strip at zicatela.

United StatesLoud clubbing music from the beach at night makes it hard to sleep - honestly this is the only thing I didn't like here. Price is high by Puerto standards (but the place is very nice so I think this is a value judgement)
Really clean - I mean meticulously cleaned, well maintained properties. Owner clearly paid lots of attention to details and is super great. The pool is excellent and really nice for a small property. I liked that there is a kitchen that is supplied with kitchen equipment. Room decor is nicely done with good sheets (I can't tell you how many Mexican hotels I been to have crappy sheets). Easily walkable to Zicatela beach and restaurants nearby.

It as 1/4 block off busy main street so noise was not an issue in an area thar is growing rapidly. Pool was great everyday.

United KingdomWe recently stayed at Hotelito Swiss Oasis and it really is an oasis. The location is great and you can walk out of the hotel and onto the main street and beach within minutes. We were worried we might be able to hear some of the noise from the street in our room but this wasn't the case. There are only 8 rooms so it had a nice welcoming feel to it. The owner and some other guests were extremely helpful with tips on where to go and what to do during our stay. The pool and gardens are a beautiful sanctuary to relax in. We made use of the shared kitchen which had everything we needed and fresh water. Would highly recommend and will hopefully be back to stay soon.

CanadaLocation is down an alley and a little difficult to find and on weekends if you are a lite sleeper the local nightclubs can be heard well into the night. Luckily its to too load as they are in back.
Property is very well maintained, clean and well organized. Access to a common kitchen and fridge and available cold drinks is a nice bonus. Pool is nice and clean with a great waterfall shower to wash off. Being owner operated makes the place a friendly and welcoming environment but also provides some control in the case were less respectful guests become disruptful in the middle of the night . The rooms are nice, clean and spacious the common areas are beautiful kept with gorgeous gardens everywhere that are beautifully lie at night.

CanadaI liked everything! Be aware that you will hear the music, earplugs recommended.
Unique hotel, only 8 rooms, with a small, well equipped communal kitchen. The garden is beautiful, as is the decor. Owners are very helpful and friendly. The location is hard to beat, steps away from Calle Morro and the clubs. Even so, you will want earplugs as the music can still be heard. If you head up the alley that the hotelito is on then you will find two great restaurants that are on the highway.

Netherlandsit is very quiet what seems to be (unfortunately) hard to find in Puerto Escondido. although La Punta was the spot we visited the most, we were very happy to stay over in Hotelito Swiss Oasis, it is 50 pesos and a couple of minutes to La Punta (which is very noise in the night). the hosts are very nice and attentive. By far the best sleep we had in times!

United StatesWater pressure in our room could have been a little better, but by no means detracted from the experience. Our room just happened to be on the opposite side of the water tank.
Manuela was an amazing host. Very helpful and accommodating. The property is absolutely stunning, between the pool, buildings, garden and decour. Rooms are very comfortable and clean. Definitely a hidden gem if you want to stay in zicatela just far enough from the noisy clubs for some peace and quiet. One of the best places I have ever stayed at.

MexicoLocation (noise): it's not the owner's fault, but even if the hotel facade is not on the "main" street, we can still hear music coming from the bars nearby; 24h reception: as per booking.com there is such a service but in reality no. Can be a mistake somewhere on booking.com. It is not a big deal, like said above, speak with the owner before if you think you will reach the hotel outside of the reception time (9 am to 6 pm).
- We went to Puerto Escondido to rest and we found the peace we were needing in this Hotel. Somewhat, it looks like a hostel, in a sense that you have access to the kitchen and the owners and staff will let you feel as you were home. - The common space is really perfect, with a nice swimming pool, a jacuzzi, hammocks, a nice beautiful garden and tables for those that want to work or play games, or simply to eat. - The internet was good also not perfect, but it did work well in the room and also in the swimming pool. There were 2 WIFIs to which you could connect. I did one call on Teams which worked correctly. - Location: literally 2 min away to the Zicatela beach (but not suitable to swim, only to surf), close to places where to eat, have a drink ==> I recommend going "up" to the Mercado Zicatela to have a good lunch for a fair price. - There was no breakfast, but it was recommended by the owner to go to the place "El Cafecito" (about 5min walk): delicious breakfast for a good price. There you can also have lunch and dinner. - The owners: super friendly, do not hesitate to contact them in advance/prior to your coming to help you out. There are there to make your stay great (they actually live there and never are too far to help for something).

United StatesAround the holidays Zicatela can get quite lively and despite this being down a quiet side street you can hear the clubs on the strip.
Beautiful property down a side street off the main Zicatela Street. Lovely garden, relaxing pool, lovely owners and the rooms are so nice too. Has a swiss lodge feeling with a Mexican vibe. Was nice to have a balcony too! I enjoyed my stay here a lot - relaxing yet super close to all the restaurants, bars and beach.

United StatesThis place is cute and really is a little hidden oasis. The owner Manuela was super nice and helpful. The pool is beautiful. Just to note it is very HOT in PE and this place does not have air con, however she is installing it so hopefully should be in soon! This place is very basic but has everything you need! Free coffee, and little kitchen area so you can make your own food. Kind of has a more elevated hostel vibe which we loved. The were no complaints about this place. Its walking distance from all bars and restos but set back from the street so it still feels very private! Enjoyed my stay here.
