Kitchen is very small and a bit under equipped. They have a very weird rul for which they charge you for using the bathroom or even just charge your mobile after you check out! I found it very weird and first time I hear it. Overall, for what you get, it felt quite overpriced, but I also think that's somehow the average in Palenque.

Good value for money in a very nice, calm area. 3 min to ADO bus station and collectivos for Palenque ruins, city center also very close and restaurants also. Staff was amazing and supported us in everything. We had all what we need and since our bus left very late at the checkout day we spent all the time in the hostel.

The water pressure wasn't great but it was good enough to get clean. I'd recommend putting a mirror in the bathroom, like the downstairs bathroom.

The location was great and the staff were friendly and helpful. I booked a private room with a bathroom and it was good value for the price I paid.

Only one shared bathroom downstairs by the kitchen. Does have a toilet seat but the toilet and shower are not separate so you have to wait. Sheets, towels and room all smelled damp and sheets has stains. Noise was an issue. Stayed 3 nights and first morning woken at 5.39am by neighbours and next night woken up at 6.10am by new arrivals from the night bus who started playing pool downstairs. You get what you pay for. Shame about sheets, smells and noise or would have been great.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Location is perfect. Walking distance from ADO Station and a colectivo stop to ruins outside station too. Easy to walk into town and nice neighbourhood. Bedroom was large and bed comfortable. Good wifi. Good value. Kitchen had enough and pool table.

I don't usually leave negative comments but maybe this will motivate the boss and the manager to improve and provide a better basic service. We had a room without a bathroom (which is quite normal for a hostel) except that there was only one room tomorrow with WC and shower together available. The other separate toilet was broken and we couldn't flush it. The kitchen and its utensils are in a bad state, all pans rusty. The fridge is 40x40 cm for all guests. Finally, he refused to keep our bags for the afternoon (bus at 6pm) even though all the lockers were empty... so we had to pay €10 to the station to keep our bags for 5 hours (price per hour). This is the first time we've been refused this service.

Water in the shower was - IF there was water - not constantly hot which is not very convenient in a chilly area like that. More than one shower for all the dorms and tents would be great, too.

Nothing is very clean, the kitchen is not well furnished and everything is old. The room needs renovation and we could hear everything our neighbors said or did.

The room is decent, not too expensive for a room with private bathroom. There is a kitchen and a pool table wich is nice. The staff is very friendly and speaks english. They offered us to do our laundry for a cheap price.

The dorm room has no AC, which i knew, but because the room is so humid it smells moldy in the room. I got a headache for 2 days because of this. They need to different matresses or AC to avoid that.

The hostal is totally fine and the owner very friendly and helpfull.

The first room I got was great, but it was a mistake, I had to change, that was a bit disturbing. The new room I received, on ground level, was more noisy.

Friendly staff, spacious room, easy access and I really appreciated to be allowed to check-in very early, as I reached Palenque in a night us. Thank you !

Staff was so so lovely! I stayed here for some nights in August and even though the place is semi new, I had a lovely stay and met some truly amazing people in my room! Given the other options in Palenque all charge for hidden extras, in this hostel they don't do that which is a huge plus. Big hello to the staff and I can't wait to return!
