Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Everything was amazing, even before I arrived they were quick to respond to my questions and requests. The staff and other guests were all very friendly and welcoming, and my overall experience there was relaxing and super comfortable. I enjoyed several cups of great coffee in the morning and they made me a delicious and filling breakfast. I always love staying at Casa Gaia when I come to San Cristobal because the staff and the facilities are the best and they maintain a good price.

Nice hostel next to the Main Street of san Cris. One of the best breakfast we had in Mexiko.

AustraliaThe breakfast was hit or miss, especially as someone who prefers savoury breakfasts, and neither of the showers are ideal (one has very low pressure, the other has almost no hot water and floods the entire bathroom as it doesn't drain). The kitchen was small and crowded which made it hard to cook. The room we had had no windows so no natural light in the morning, good if you like sleeping in but we prefer waking up with sun light
Great private rooms with a very comfortable bed. The staff were very friendly, helpful and accommodating. Living space was lovely!

GermanyThe hostel works together with a tour agency so they helped us to book a tour to Lagos Montebello. We almost missed the trip because the hostel stuff told is we are being picked up at 8, but in fact it was at 7. There the communication needs to be improved because we could have lost all the money we paid and also hours of finding another way to travel on.
We loved the atmosphere, the ping pong and pool games in the entrance hall and the garden. Also everything is within walking distance. The offered tours are fairly priced.

The staff here are very friendly and super helpful. Hostel was always clean, tidy and comfortable. The location is near to several nice restaurants, cafes and a bakery just up the road. Value for money is great.
