Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

MexicoThe check in is painful and they do not mention about a $100 USD or $2,000 MXN deposit, which is not even the same amount according to January's 2024 exchange rate. They still have not refunded me my deposit, which it seems a bit arbitrary and unusual since in most hotels where they asked for a deposit they refunded it at check out. It feels dodgy that they have not refunded it immediately. I had to asked for an extra towel- the bathroom only had one towel; they send me another one but it was a pool towel. My bedroom was at the first floor next to the pool, is very noisy and constantly you can hear noises from the rooms about ours and from the neighbor's tv.
The locations is good, the staff is very friendly and helpful but quite slow to process the check in, the breakfast is included, the room was ample and comfortable, it has good quality amenities and the bed is great. In general is a great deal for a short stay and they offer late check out for a reasonable fee.

We stayed at Hive for a night and we were impressed! The room was incredibly spacious with a stunning view over the pool area. The rooftop also offered a wonderful view, and the breakfast was delightful. Hive Cancun made our very short stay truly enjoyable.
