Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

HungaryWe spent 6 days at Hacienda San Pedro Nohpat with my wife and three kids (10,7,4). The place is beatufiul, the location is perfect to reach almost everything (Chichen Itzá, Uxmal, Celestún, etc.) The Hacienda itself had a great pool which was a blessing in that heat, especially for the kids. The manager Iona was really helpful, she gave us some perfect recommendations and ideas, what to check out. She even prepared for us a cool kit in the morning, I thougth that was especially thoughtful of her. The maids working at the hacienda were also very nice and helpful. We would happily recommend Hacienda San Pedro Nohpat to basically anyone.

United StatesThis place is a 10 in so many ways, but there were TWO IMPORTANT CONDITIONS that potential guests should know about: this historic Hacienda is out of Merida to the east in a relatively poor village. There is one nice restaurant (you must drive) some little distance away, and there are convenience stores out on the highway, but this is definitely not an area catering to tourists. We took a taxi in to the Grand Plaza. The other problem is the pervasive musty, moldy smell in the lovely old rooms amidst the old antique furniture. Weeks later my suitcases, handbag, jacket (anything not machine washable) still smell strongly of it. If you are sensitive to mold or mildew you will have a problem here.
All accommodations are suites, and our suite of rooms was huge, furnished with antiques, overlooking gardens. It was a good value. The bathroom and shower were exceptionally nice. The grounds are pretty, and the breakfast was made to order, ample, and delicious. It is sometimes possible to get a nice dinner here if arranged ahead, for a fair price. Adequate cooling system. Plenty of parking. Friendly hosts. Netflix. You can even bring a pet.

United StatesThe property was hard to find, would be great to include in the confirmation directions to entrance which is different from address given, and for parking. No restaurants very close by, but not a problem if you have a car. The location served our needs, as we were just passing and wanted something close to the highway.
We really enjoyed our short stay at this beautiful former hacienda. The grounds are impeccably maintained and rooms are large, appointed with unique and lovely antique furniture. Breakfast was amazing! Owner was very gracious and hospitable. Would have liked the stay a bit longer to relax by the pool and garden.

FranceIt’s a bit far from city centre but it’s also the reason why we chose to stay there. At least it’s calm and easy to park the car securely. And it’s easy and cheap to reach the centre with Uber
Very nice hacienda with its history that can be told by the nice landlady. She invited us to visit her beautiful garden. We had a kind of private apartment next to the pool which was very nice even though we didn’t have time to get to use the pool. Breakfast was really good.

BelgiumThe conversation with the host went strange fast. Upon arrival and the next morning the topic was steered almost immediately to covid vaccines, world politics and conspiracy theories. Maybe not my topics of choice on a relaxing holiday.
The hacienda is beautiful and we loved the refreshing pool. The location is great near the main road and outside the crazyness of Merida. We took a bus to the center and back in the evening and found it very convenient. The bus stop is right in front. Lastly I have to mention the breakfast which was delicious. The best eggs we had in Mexico.

PolandAbsolutely nothing.
I can only say great things about this place. It's not a hotel per se, but rather just a private mansion where the owners host the guests. The owner is an incredibly nice lady who makes the best possible effort to make your stay pleasant and comfortable. Also, Now about the room. The dwelling (I'm calling it that on purpose because it's HUGE) in which I spent my time cannot be called a room as it was bigger than most 1 bedroom apartments. It was big enough to host 8 people (6 adults and 2 kids) so that should speak for itself. Well deserved 10/10!

Good breakfast by Teresa on the porch.ona and JR are very hospitable and helped us with taxi, laundry and diner - and we had some good chats and had a good tour around the garden and learned a lot about vanilla plants. Nice pool. Attractive hacienda. Conveniently located. Taxi to Merida centre recommended. About an hour to Homun and other cenotes. Easy access to the mainroad. Close to Hacienda Teya.
