Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaThe bath was full of sand when we arrived to the room, in a five stars hotel it is supposed to have free wifi and you don't, buffet is poor I expected more variety and flavor

United StatesTHE FOOD. They need to improve on the food, otherwise people will stop going to your place. The place is beautiful but the food isn’t good at all, the breakfast was decent but that’s the only place. We tried all the restaurants we didn’t like none. The last day the housekeeper turned off our hot water on our room.
The location was excellent, the staff was friendly. The place is beautiful and well taken care.

NetherlandsI didn't like some of the staff, especially the receptionist that checked us in, she made us wait till 16:30, which she told my girlfriend she did on purpose because I wasn't happy to take a room without lake view and double bed, when I paid extra for it. The rest of the staff was nice. Some of the bartenders were really grumpy, but some were super nice. Would give a better rating, but due to such a rude receptionist, not willing to talk and doing such things on purpose when our room was ready at 15:00 is just ridiculous.
I liked the area, the beach is super beautiful.

United StatesIf you are not a member of the oasis club they change your bookings without you knowing, make you pay extra at arrival & you only get to eat at a buffet not the other restaurants or other amenities. You get treated different! Also the little "food, ice cream & bar" were not really good.
Our waiter at "El Zocalo" was EXCELLENT!! Made us feel like family ❤️ he definetly deserves a raise! Our cleaning lady Cecila was also excellent! Our rooms were cleaned everyday, clean towels & fridge restocked! Our view was good also.

United StatesThe pool area smelled like vomit and feces pretty much the whole time. The service staff at the bars were rude. The drink menu was limited. Room service did not provide enough clean towels or waters in the mini fridge. The all-inclusive deals were not applicable to the entire resort, so we would arrive to a restaurant or a store and discover that we did not have access to it or we had to pay for it.
Food was good, the party activities were also a good time. The location was a good spot to get access to downtown without being caught in the traffic and crowds.

United StatesIt’s impossible to get seated in the restaurants during the weekend. The food itself is just not good. Enormous amount of drunk spring breakers who are damaging everything around them. The rooms are not that clean. We had to pay extra insurance because we’re in the “spring breakers” age group, which was not mentioned on the booking.
Very big hotel with a nice beach, good location. The rooms are okay.

United KingdomIt was an all inclusive hotel but trying to get a drink here was very difficult. There are not enough staff serving at these bars and the drinks were terrible quality. I tried both spirits and beer and it was not nice. It got to the point I just decided to use the bars where I had to pay to get a drink as it was better quality in there. It does defeat the point of an all inclusive hotel though. The restaurants as well that were included in the all inclusive was not great either. The buffet was ok for all 3 meals and the steak place was probably the pick of the restaurants. Apart from that, the food also was not great. Also the queues for the outdoor food spots were very long. More staff needed to speed the process up. There should have been a bit more variety as well in my opinion on the food available. If the pool could be cleaned more frequently as well. There were cups in the pool which was not nice. No late night drink option at the hotel. Everything closes at 12am.
I liked the staff at the hotel. They were very helpful. The reps helped a lot when we were trying to plan our club nights out. Ande in particular for us helped organise each night for us with ease. The concierge helped organise anything we needed at the hotel. All the staff were generally very helpful. The only issue I had in that sense was when I tried to return a t shirt for a larger size and they would not allow it even though I just bought it. I thought this was very harsh. The location is good. 10 min cab drive from the main strip of clubs. The pool is very big. Very nice to chill there during the day. Beach just on your doorstep as well which was nice to see during the day. The cleaning staff were very helpful. They helped clean our rooms each day with fresh towels. That was greatly appreciated!

MexicoHuge lines (20 minutes+) to get any drink. They have special lines so you can get quicker drinks if you pay the waiters extra - making the "all inclusive" line even slower. Their nightclub (Coyote) is closed making you have to go out and spend more money outside if you wanna party after midnight. In general there's better options out there if you like good services or actually enjoy your time. Also, my fridge in my room wasn't filled once during the 4 nights I was there despite me asking the workers about it.
Definitely it's the cathedral if you wanna live the spring break experience
