Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesPool was clean but in need of tile replacement.
Rooms were very nice, spacious and clean. Bar area was nice with limited selections. Great snorkeling right in front of the property. Be sure to snorkel south of the pier. Loved that no one was trying to sell us stuff. Breakfast buffet was excellent - lots of options. Get the grilled garlic fish tacos for lunch.

United StatesWe would love to see more vegetarian options on the menus and buffet. The pool does need remodel. The tiles are missing in spots and the pool needs to be cleaned more often. Not sure if there is a filter system for the water as it can develop a film on the surface in the corners when windy. Pool needed heated a little more during the winter months. The beach area will be great when it is available again. They do ask you to hear about the time share opportunities during your stay but we did not do it as we had our hands full with our children and activities we had already planned.
We traveled as a family of 5. 2 adults and 3 children. ages 6, 3 and 1. We stayed in the governors 2 bedroom suite which was wonderful for family! 3 full bathrooms and 2 bedrooms and 1 living room. 3 balconies. It was great! The kids club was great and is available to play and do crafts from 10 am to 1 pm and then they do pool activities in the afternoon. The breakfast was fabulous but lunch and dinner seemed lacking. We are vegetarian though so we did not have as many options as we would have wished to have but we understand not all places are as prepared. The staff did a great job going over and beyond to ensure we had things to eat though. They would even do some meals especially for us so we were grateful for their wonderful service. The beach area still is available but no services offered. When they get the area opened up again it will be a remarkable place again but we loved the resort even without the beach services. It appears as though the government is controlling who can use their beach areas and who cannot so we are not sure when it will be available again. We did bring our own snorkel equipment and the water outside the resort was splendid! Lots of fish to see and very clear water. The pool was a lot of fun and never crowded. Music was great. My wife got a massage at the spa and loved it. Service was overall very good.

United StatesWhat we were not happy with was that the advertisement for this resort shows it chairs and bar open across the street at the beach. I knew there was not a big beach area, but it shows nice chairs and a beach bar open and none of that was open at the beach. No chairs and the bar was not open. And the pool definitely needs cleaning when you look up close. There is algae on all the tiles around the pool. The water and bottom stayed very clean, it just it needs deep cleaning.
Breakfast was just fine with a lot of options

United StatesThe clientele is less than mannered. the number of unaccompanied children out numbered the adults. The beach restaurant, bar and services were closed. why? Hector the bartender was very rude.
Food was great, the staff were friendly but do not go out of their way like at other resorts. the pool is tropical and beautiful and the rooms are clean, comfortable and relaxing.

United StatesOnly thing I could see that I would say I didn’t “like” was the elevators. They were very small. my group of 5 could barely fit in there.
I love the outdoor/indoor layout of the resort. The room layout was amazing. Outdoor pool area with the bar situated right at the front gave such a good vibe.

AndorraIt was quite visible the effect the pandemic has had. Understaffed in terms of waiter service at the pool area for example. The hotel needs a whole remodel, it looks like a European beach hotel from the 80s although the rooms were redone to a nice standard. The pool (without beach club) is not big enough for the size of the place and also looks a bit old although the new bar area was lovely. Having stayed at other hotels of theirs it was a bit of a disappointment. For Mexico I would say lowering more to a 3* than a 4-5 as suggested. They should of course publish that the beach is closed as it takes away a lot of value. Maybe slightly too pricy as we have paid same dollar for much higher standards with them in the past. The small details like snacks in room and quick room service or personal service at pool area were missing this time. Location wasn’t great but that’s not their fault, it’s on rocky coral side so don’t expect any white beaches anywhere near.
The staff were great, very kind and helpful in all areas of the hotel. The food also much better than many all inclusives in terms of quality although portion size maybe a bit small.

United StatesSmaller resort, so no huge crowds, which was a huge plus for us! The beach club, the pool, enough space for everybody. Safe, clean, friendly! We felt well taken care of from the moment we arrive until we left. The buffet food was OK but for a foodie like me, I preferred the restaurants. We had an amazing chef, special dinner, that I still dream about! Breakfast buffet is good, order omelettes, or quesadillas!!

United StatesThis resort has everything, great location, amazing food, friendly staff and snorkeling at their own beach. It is family friendly and has a really fun vibe without being the crazy party you find at some of the other all inclusive resorts. This place feels really authentic and offers a local feel.

United StatesAll the rest is not good. We had booked 7 nights. But decided to leave to a different hotel after the 2nd night. We had a room with a private pool. The water was cloudy and not appealing. Tile is chipped. The water in the Big pools also was also nasty. A/C in the room were dripping on the floor and bed. You can’t open the door in the bathroom all the way because of the toilet and you have to squeeze in to get into the bathroom. This place is craving for remodeling and updating As for food - we were always hungry because we could it find anything decent to eat. The lagoon is rocky and slippery. Sorry but I can not recommend this place.
First of all the staff is great. They are nice and friendly and helpful.

United StatesAll the operations on the ocean side of the hotel were closed and the hotel's pool was inadequate. The total price shown on the Booking and the total price we paid at the hotel were different from each other. The hotel added an extra fee. After completing the reservation on Booking, we received a message from the hotel about their closed operations, and in this message, they were giving us a free El Cielo tour. We showed this message when we checked in to the hotel and they said the tour is full :))))))) I do not know what to say!
Hotel is right next to the ocean

United StatesThe service has declined a lot since the last time I was there in 2019. The waterfront part of the hotel was closed and we were not notified. This made the rest of the people be crammed inside the none waterfront area. Check in took a long time and they were trying to set us up for a 90 minute marketing chat. By the time we finished the check in we weren't able to get any food so we had to go out. --- The rooms... We got one where the bathroom door hits the toilet, and the shower door hits the shower head. Not ideal at all. --- Lastly, we had some guests come over for a dinner which was arranged and paid in advanced. They made them feel like intruders and awkward upon checking in.
The dinner food is pretty well made and has some really unique dishes. The hotel is well located near the water where you can snorkel and enjoy beautiful nature.
