Friend and I booked together and she was offered a room that was ground floor, very dark and damp and where the balcony overlooked staff quarters (first one on left). Really shouldn’t be offered as a room option (not for the same price as others). Front desk staff seemed put out by the request for another room but in the end waived the extra fee (only rooms left in the tier above). Manager was never on site and felt like the other staff members were very junior when dealing with issues like this.

Quiet, boutique hotel in neighborhood within close walking to the laguna and town square, restaurants and sites. On-site parking. Large comfortable room. Lovely interior pool,patio,bar area; included good breakfast. Very courteous and helpful staff.

Small detail: regular coffee included in breakfast but I prefer cappuccino and that is not in the price. I saw massage tables and bikes but make a list with prices in the apartment. But just an advice, everything was perfect.

Nice spacious 2 bedroom apartment next to the pool. The children of 10 and 13 years liked the net and hamac/relaxing chair upstairs most. Good breakfast with several options like scrambled eggs, Mexican warm special dish, pancakes and toast. Nice restaurant, good food, not a lot of options but fine and good cocktails. Really kind staff, nice pool, liked this hotel most of the 8 hotels in Mexico. 5 minutes walk to city centre.

The pool area was amazing! All the staff are super friendly and helpful. Shower in the room was really good and our bedroom was very clean. Felt very safe and also right next door to a great restaurant.

There was not much space for the suitcase in the sleeping rooms; the bikes of the hotel are too small for tall people and not in a good condition.

Although the staff was very nice the service could be better. For example, in the morning there is a lot of staff just hanging out at the breakfast area. They play their music quite loud. The result of this was that we woke up because of the music every morning very early because our room was right across the area. The breakfast buffet was often empty meanwhile the staff was also eating from the buffet. Details....

The hotel exceaded our expectations! The pictures don't do it justice. It is a lovely secluded oasis. The rooms and the pool are very nice. I would definately recommend it. We felt like we were in a luxury resort. Location is great, near the center but silence.

There was nothing we did not like. Even though the lagoon was not on our doorstep it was only a 5-10min walk (depending on how fast you walk) but we had the option of using their free bikes which was fantastic.

We loved the fact it was a quiet oasis of calm nestles away from the lagoon. This is a perfect boutique hotel with the quality of a larger hotel but the friendliness of a smaller establishment where we got to know all the staff. We felt very much at home!

Great place to stay and relax in Bacalar. The rooms are spacious and clean. The breakfast is very delicious and the staff helpful and friendly. We stayed in a 4 person room and found all amnesties to our fullest satisfaction.

a little oasis in the city. modern, pool and restaurant were nicely situated. rooms were very comfortable loved the atmosphere, the neutral colors of the rooms. nice walk-in shower with good products. breakfast included ! and bicycles.
