SwitzerlandThe access to the lake is 50m away. It is not private as there is another house on the way to the lake. The music from the neighbouring hotel.
Amazing access to the lake. Big house with kitchen and everything needed. Kayaks available for free. Breakfast at the lake to watch the sunrise is outstanding

CanadaThe beds are 2 doubles and are a bit hard. We were under the impression it had direct water views but in is behind the owners house and to get to the dock you have to walk right in front of the owners house. Was a bit hard to find. Also had a a couple of cockroaches but that wasn’t too shocking as we were in the jungle. needs better lighting, seemed very dark inside.
It was very private and the dock and cabana was beautiful. locked gates to property so it was safe

United KingdomCheck in information provided in advance would be helpful. This is a private apartment with no hosts at the property. You therefore need to let them know your arrival time so they can come to meet you to give you the key, but we didn’t realise this until we got there. A couple of sun loungers down by the lake would be really great. There is only a picnic table so if you want to sunbathe/relax by the lake you have to lie on the wooden floor. The steps down into the water were very slippy. Perhaps some eg rubber matting could be attached to them to make them safer? The pillows were lumpy and flat, new better quality ones would be welcomed. Tea and coffee was left in the kitchen but there is no kettle and only a very large saucepan to boil water in.
We really loved our stay here. It’s a private, secluded spot on the lake. It’s a truly stunning location and feels very special to have a part of it to yourself. There is one other house next to this one where someone lives, but we barely encountered them. The cabaña is a good size, with two beds, a kitchen, dining area, sofa, bathroom and an outside seating area with a picnic table and a couple of other patio chairs. There was also a hammock indoors although we didn’t use it. The air conditioning worked well. You walk 1 minute down to the lake, which has swings in the water, another picnic table and space to lie on the floor. There are two kayaks to use, with life jackets. The person that showed us in also arranged a boat tour of the lake for us, and was very helpful with any other questions we had.

MexicoThe window were those wooden slats. So even with th air conditioner on high it still got hot. You get the bare minimum of housewares. All there was is a coffee maker and a blender. The steps off the dock to go into the water were so SLIPPERY that it was dangerous to use them. The TV had one station and use could see they have satilite TV setup there.The place could have so much more if a little effort was made to it better.
It's a nice place on the lagoon.
