Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

BelgiumIt can be a bit cold especially during the evening/night in the kitchen as it is "outside" but that is normal since we are more than 2000m from altitutde. Be just aware of taking a big sweater/jacket with you :)
The breakfast made every morning was really nice, on a cute rooftop terrasse. The place is good located and in a calm area, everything is reachable by feet. About the room, it's quite small but there is all you need and big plus the room is cleaned every day !!

United KingdomWe spent a lovely week at Casa Monad. We extended our stay twice! At first I booked just 2 nights because I was worried about some of the reviews. I didn't have to. The rooms are cold, yes, but that's probably everywhere in San Cristobal. You've got plenty of blankets, you can make yourself a hot cup of tea in the common kitchen to keep you warm. We had daily room service, they changed our towels every day and we loved the breakfast! It's simple but plenty, one day fried eggs, other day scrambled with veggie, French toast on the weekend. The room was furnished with a table and chairs, hangers and shelves. Everything was perfect. We didn't want to leave :)) thank you very much Casa Monad! ❤️

It is my second time here and if I ever go back to san cristobal I will come back. This time it was not as cold as before so I enjoyed my stay a lot. The shower work properly and the water is hot. Bed was very comfortable and they put me on a room with no noise at night which I apreaciate. Breakfast was faboulous and when I was there there was a small earthquake (yes you read well) and they cared a lot about the people in that situation which was very nice WiFi worked better in the second floor too.

GermanyIn SCri cold days the rooms are really cold, and the breakfast in the terrace is pretty cold as well. One should shower every day to shake the freeze off. Not great sound insulation, although the people here are pretty calm and silent (is more a family lodging). There will be a surcharge of 4-6% for electronic payments (not a bad point but something to keep in mind). Hot water from shower is hot but temperature changes (I think depending if somebody else is showering).
The women managing are super nice. They cook a good breakfast in the morning (8am-9:30am). A lot of bed sheets make the bed warm (but the room was pretty cold). Pretty silent (apart for some mechanism, I think for water, that activates and makes noise that can be annoying). Good/Safe area with services around and few minutes walking from the center. Smoking area on the top terrace. Access 24h. Decent internet connection. Hot water in the sink is super hot.

Czech RepublicThe room was really cold especially the floor. it’s also always wet so it is impossible to let our things dry. plus there was no place to put our belongings or wet towels.
We liked the place, especially for the price. Breakfast were simple, but tasty. there was a hot water in the shower and the pressure of water was great, which is really not common in Mexico. I also liked the terrace.
