    Everything was EXCELLENT!

Casa de la Tía Tere is a magical hidden gem in Oaxaca City! We loved everything---from the small and intimate courtyard, delicious breakfasts at the rooftop terrace, evening cafecitos in the kitchen (which were always available for guests), to our room which was always comfortable and clean, and the friendliness of staff. Thank you for making this trip such a memorable one!

The front desk staff were helpful when I needed them, but did not go out of their way to help.

It was a gorgeous location, exceptionally clean and in a perfect spot to go to the center of the city.

The pillows could have been softer.

Breakfast was great everymorning and there was usually two options to choose from. The room was clean everyday and the property well kept. Generally the building was very beautiful. Also you can use the hot water downstairs until 11. It had generally a good vibe. The front desk reserved a taxi to the airport for us. They also had a free water bottle everyday for the guest which is nice because it gets very hot. Easy and walking distance to UNAM, if it's monsoon season, bring an umbrella and lots of bug spray.

All good - very small thing - breakfast was perfectly fine - but - so many bakery's in the area - would have been nice to have some local breads -

Excellent location, lovely pool area perfect for hot afternoons - we appreciated fridge, coffee pot and microwave in the room as well as bottled water provided daily - plus coffee and tea available most of the time - well managed , professional staff - nice that breakfast started at 7:30

You definitely have to call a taxi if you are not walking. Evening coffee and beverages are limited.

This modest property is an oasis from the city. We were happy to find it was a B&B with some long term mature guests. Breakfast is prepared to order, al fresco on the terrace and the garden courtyard pool is perfection 👌

The air conditioning was not working during out stay and it was between 95 and 100 degrees every day. It was a bit difficult sleeping at night. The overhead fan helped. But we could have used another standing fan. The air conditioning did come on the last day at 3 pm - hooray!

The outdoor area with the pool and breakfast terrace was absolutely beautiful. Loved swimming every day. Liked the availability of beverages for a fee.

The property was very well kept. There was an issue with the power while we were there causing our air conditioning to go out. The next day they switched us to another room with working air conditioning. Staff was able to help arrange taxis for us. Appreciated the water and coffee & breakfast was very good! Tip: book a room with an outside facing window so you can open the windows to cool it down.

Unfortunately although there was a fan in our room, there was not enough power for the air con, and this meant that our last 2 nights in the country were quite unbearable (in 34*) as we could not get air into our room. We were on the first floor and then also had to go up a separate steep flight of steps to the breakfast area.

The location was excellent-we were a few blocks away from the centre and felt safe enough to walk in. The pool was small and intimate which meant we could chat with the other guests. Breakfast was a delicious plate of fresh fruit and a freshly prepared omelette.

Upstairs king beds aren’t as comfy as downstairs doubles but they’re ok. Coffee maker at breakfast never worked right. Could use a little more variety and way better coffee at breakfast.

The layout of the gardens, pool, and rooms by the pool- delightful. The pool was a great way to relax after a long day out. Most staff were lovely and helpful. Insect screens were a plus as they had to manage the wasp population. Breakfast terrace so peaceful with little spiral stair you could use.

We had to leave at 7am for our return flight. They promised someone would be there at reception @ 7am to let us out of the car park. No one was there by 7:15, so we had to get one of the breakfast ladies to unlock the car park and manually push the huge iron gate open. Reception is supposed to be manned 7am-11pm - but I guess that is not guaranteed..

Lovely tranquil hotel in the centro. Pool, air conditioning and free parking in the centre of the old town.
