Everything is beautiful. The room with the fireplace and bathtub was great for us because the weather can be chilly and it makes a big difference. Loved the cooking course that they offer! Definitely a must :) we also did one of their tours to Chamula and Zicantan with a nice and very prepared guide.

If I could give a score higher than 10, I would! This property is stunning. It’s immaculately clean, comfortable, warm and inviting. Aesthetically, it’s very beautiful but doesn’t feel like you can’t make yourself at home and enjoy all of the cosy seating areas and lovely kitchen. It’s in a fantastic location, an easy 10 minute walk from the ADO/airport transfers and steps from the Arco Del Carmen and the Avenida Miguel Hidalgo cafes, restaurants and shops. Carlos and the other staff are very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Definitely a favourite and we miss it already.

Casa Carmen more than delivered. Individually appointed rooms, stylishly decorated shared spaces. Breakfast wasn’t an option which we didn’t mind as there were many options in the Centre. Don’t miss the roof top view.

One of our fav hotels during our entire trip to Mexico. We very much enjoyed staying in Casa Carmen as it felt much more like a home than a hotel and the entire atmosphere was lovely and welcoming. We would have liked to stay longer.

The only thing that bothered us a little was some loud noise from other guests staying right next door to us, but overall it was minimal so it didn't hugely impact our stay.

The space is beautifully decorated and meticulously maintained and cleaned. The team at Casa Carmen were caring and available throughout our stay. They helped us with recommendations, excursions and experiences. The bedroom was absolutely wonderful and the bed so comfy I wish I had the same at home.

The hot water was almost non existent and took 4-5 minutes for any warmth at all to come through. Acoustics aren’t great; you can hear every little footstep within the hallways. Just need to make sure you have earplugs if a light sleeper!

Great location at the border of the old town so you avoided a lot of the noise. Interior was very nice as was the room and the kitchen facilities and rooftop.

I cannot put into words how incredible this place is. It is so beautifully designed and feels so homely at the same time as being pure luxury. The location is excellent and right on the edge of the main tourist square. We had the deluxe room with the bath and it was so worth paying slightly more. The room was so stunning and had a wood burner and free standing bath in the bedroom. An absolute dream for December in San Cristobal when it’s pretty cold to be able to come back and run a bath and put the fire on. I felt so sad to leave and hope one day we can come back.

Wow! Amazing hotel and great value for money. We’ve had the best time, the bed was super comfortable, great bathroom with everything you need and an extra bathtub in the room itself.
