Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesOnly thing I would change is asking for a second key for the room. It locks from both sides, so having a key for each person would be nice. I didn't think to ask the host, so it is entirely possible she could have provided that for us.
The guest house was beautiful, clean, and inviting! It was so nice and in a great location. The host, Eva, was so friendly and had great recommendations. We loved exploring the town and the guest house is situated only a few steps away from the colectivo stop, so it is incredibly easy to get around town and over to the beach (10 pesos per ride). There is a cozy outdoor kitchen area (the weather is warm and dry all day every day) where we were able to socialize with other guests and keep/make food. Also the shaded hammocks in the courtyard were the perfect place to relax and read.

CanadaThis place is fantastic! The colourful tiles and artwork all over the courtyard and kitchen make it really cheerful and funky. The room was beautiful and spotless. I wish we could have stayed longer! It's also a great location, close to the main square, but on a quiet street.

CanadaMy friend and I were very happy at Buenos Dias. Our hosts were lovely and truly made it feel like home, not a hotel or a resort. It was also like a hostel and we enjoyed chatting with other travellers in the shared, outdoor kitchen. There was gated parking, hammocks to swing in during the afternoon heat, and excellent wifi / Netflix for night. Though I had imagined riding the free loaner bikes, the heat was too much for me. It was good to be away from the tourist part of Puertos Morelos, but that also meant being reliant on the rental car to get to the beach and other places. Glad we had that. It was often quite noisy at night, music in the neighbourhood at 3am even some weeknights, but I had my ear plugs and adjusted quite quickly. Breakfast was hit and miss, coffee most days, I suppplied my own milk sometimes, but there was a convenience store on the corner, and we were glad for what was available. As a vegetarian, I made my own food in the kitchenette in my room or the outdoor kitchen, as street food was meat-centred. I was surprised at how expensive food was, in the grocery stores and in restaurants, the same or more than in Canada. Thank you Ava for a wonderful experience!

CanadaOur room was small in proportion to the bed size so it was tight moving around the bed. Also someone (a cleaner?) hosed the ground in front of our room and a large puddle of water seeped into our room. Someone also did some painting of the wall outside our room and a small amount of white paint splattered onto our car.
The communal garden and kitchen spaces were vibrant and comfortable. The kitchen had coffee and the hosts provided complimentary fruit in the mornings. It's in a great location, lots of local restaurants, fruiterias and convenient stores nearby. Also short drive to the beach.

United StatesIf I have to say, just needed instructions on how to use the shower controls.
I can not say enough good things about BD Guesthouse and the customer service received. Ava and her staff was very welcoming; always asked did I need anything; House keepers went out of their way to not disturb my stay. Fresh local fruit every morning, cookies, water, tea and coffee. Shared kitchen to gather n meet other travelers from all over. Great local experience; Quiet, Clean, colorful mosaic garden with hammocks. Occasional late night music across the street but u get used to it. Got to see some colorful birds. The location was perfect, walked to Chedraui, local fruit market, and restaurants across the street; convenience store on corner; Never once felt unsafe even after dark. Colectivo stop is steps away to take you to the beach or to tour Colonia; also taxis everywhere. very short ride to the beach but Don't waste your money on food at portside. The local eateries at Colonia are the best. Please do not pass up Quesadillas de la Colonia. There was a taco stand close by that stayed open late n was very good.Cant wait for my next visit!

CanadaThe water pressure wasn't always great but it's a minor thing.
I loved the friendliness and community vibe of Buenos Dias. The roof deck area with the shared kitchen turned into a great place to hang out during the day or in the evenings. A fantastic place to meet fellow travellers from around the world or to just do some reading, email catch up, or conversing. Eva the owner goes out of her way to make people feel at home and to provide nice little touches like coffee and an assortment of fresh fruit fruit in the common kitchen/deck area.

United KingdomOnly a trickle of water came out the bathroom tap. And had a problem with the shower being incredibly hot or completely cold. I managed fine though, and didn’t mention it, so maybe it could’ve been sorted if I had asked. Not a big deal but Food in the shared fridge needs to be checked and thrown away more frequently. I am presuming guests have finished their stay and left stuff behind.
Loved the quirky and colourful roof terrace and outdoor seating. Very comfortable bed and pillows and very soft clean sheets. Whole room was immaculate. Eva who owns the place is lovely and friendly and helpful. I liked that there was a shared kitchen and water and fruit available.

United KingdomThe place was very clean, but it was ground floor, and there were some insects in the bathroom, which I didn’t find super hygienic, but probably many people wouldn’t mind it.
We spent here our last night. The house is beautifully decorated! There is a nice terrace where you can have breakfast (complementary coffee, biscuits and fruit!) and chill. The WiFi works everywhere in the property and we had a great welcome from the owner, which speaks amazing English. The location is good if you have a car to go to the “marina” side and it pretty quite. Our room was small, but had a very big bed! Overall everything was nice and comfortable.

United States1) the buckets of rain that came down that day and night causing great disruption to the entire area, 2.) that I missed a leisurely breakfast in the beautiful gardens of the B&B
I loved the co-owner who was incredibly accommodating in my challenging circumstances. She bent over backwards to assure I was comfortable and had what I needed. I would recommend this B and B to anyone looking for a great local experience in a well situated and beautifully decorated oasis in Puerto Morelos. I missed breakfast due to my early departure so I cannot comment on that. Security is great and the neighborhood quiet. Cleanliness was spot on.
