It is a beautiful and very relaxing place to stay. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is delicious and the bar offers good cocktail. They had a dinner during our stay that we unfortunately missed but the smells was amazing, so if you have the opportunity definitely take it. We had a great time there and I highly recommend this place.

Nothing really, its pretty perfect. I suppose that the room I stayed in didn't have its own bathroom; others do, and I guess if I stayed for a longer time it'd be nice to have one's own bathroom. Also the bikes they have for free use - which is a great perk - are pretty beat up.

Its a lovely place - so welcoming and cool. Beautiful plants, the way the space is laid out, there is a lot of outdoor, semi-enclosed living room and kitchen like areas, next to the pool - which also is next to a full bar. The rooms are smallish but lovely and quaint, the AC works well, and there is a tiny balcony to stand on and dry one's swimgear. The breakfast is amazing, the service is amazing; you can use the kitchen for cooking or storing food. I don't recall the name of the woman who acts as host, but she's very cool and very kind - really fun to have that sort of

I love the setting of the location. It feels homey and intimate for a couple. Alejandra and stuff made it feel like home amongst family with different activities available for all patrons. As Americans, we were worried about not knowing spanish, but most staff will know and speak it very well.it will still do you justice to know spanish before going. I also really appreciate the staff allowing patrons to partake in Tezamcal. It was a different experience that was enjoyable cause, again, it made everyone feel like family and connected with one another. The breakfast was awesome along the drinks, and the pool was nice and decently sized. Bontanica Tulum is the way to go for any who want to visit the local area of Tulum, Mexico.

Too dark the outside at the night even if I didn’t feel unsafe and I think it’s not about the property. Should be who manages the city/region to improve it. The only thing that bother me was the fact the room is not well insulated from the outside and therefore you hear everything that happens in the nearby street and also a little light comes in. The only thing that I would really recommend to improve for the rest fantastic structure

The place is amazing: perfect location if you want to be in the centre and close to Maya’s Ruins, perfect facilities, bikes to use to visit the city, amazing staff and beautiful pool. Everything was amazing.

This place is absolutely magical!! An oasis in the middle of Tulum, close to the Main Street but tucked away so it feels calm. Beautiful pool area and the decor and design of the place is amazing. Also the breakfast included is so so good. Plus the staff are great :)

Best hostel/hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Staff are so friendly and accommodating, breakfast avo toast was incredible and the temezcal ceremony was unlike anything I’ve ever done before. Perfect for solo travellers who want to slow down a little in a friendly relaxed space close to everything you might want to go to.

Amazing place. Came back 3 times. And will definitely come back if I am around, it feels like home. Beautiful, very relaxing, comfortable and clean. But the most amazing is the staff. Words cannot describe how amazing this hostel is! An oasis of tranquility and beauty tucked away from bustling Tulum. I felt calm from the moment I stepped through the door into the gorgeous garden. Alejandra and Fernando were incredible hosts - super accommodating and kind, telling the guests to feel at home, sharing their delicious homemade kombucha (the hibiscus and mint one rocked my world!!!) with us, always available for anyone's needs and also keeping solo travelers like myself company at the bar and in the pool area, all of which was much appreciated and served to make the place feel like a home away from home. The buildings, rooms and facilities were clean, super aesthetic and well designed. And like all the guests have commented - the breakfast is INCREDIBLE. Guests were generally in their mid 20s to mid 30s, mostly couples with a few solo travelers, which was perfect for me as a female solo traveler looking for somewhere quiet and pretty to rest. People gather at the bar to chat but the pool and living room areas are generally quiet so you can choose how social you want to be. Staying at Botanica, and meeting Fernando and Alejandra, was the highlight of my time in Tulum. Thank you so much!

The room was maybe a bit small considering the price, but nothing that really bothered us as the pool area was so nice. It is a hostel with a shared bathroom but it was all very clean and comfortable.

The pool area was amazing. Huge pool with comforable beds and enough shade. The style of the place was really nice. Very nice staff, felt very welcomed with a free drink. Amazing breakfast included in the price. The staff was so sweet and recommend a great bar we went to! Lovely!!

The property and the staff have created a very special and unique environment in the centre of Tulum. This environment is very relaxing and comfortable. The daily breakfast was delicious and the special sushi evening was fantastic. The staff go above and beyond in making people welcome and assisting whenever necessary. The only place to stay in Tulum!
