“Amazing staff - super helpful and friendly, very responsive, great recommendations for tours and things to do. They got the showerhead fixed immediately when we notified them of the issue of it spraying out. Organised early breakfasts when we needed to head out for early starts.
Location was perfect, smack in middle of the city.
We had the loft room which was a cute back room. Little but dark, but plus point was it was really quiet despite blaring music from the building nearby on a Saturday night.

“This hotel felt like a little private sanctuary from the world outside. Being behind locked doors with a courtyard as the centerpiece and check-in area was very welcoming upon arrival. The staff could not have been kinder or more accommodating. Any questions we had were addressed. They also have a rooftop deck where they serve good and excellent drinks. There are covered areas where we could even sit during the occasional rain shower. The room was spacious with polished concrete floors and were beautifully cleaned every day. It is also quiet as there were only 9 rooms in operation at the time of our visit. Some upstairs rooms are closed for future renovation.”

“We stayed at Hotel Posada San Rafael for two nights and then again for three after having visited another town for a few days. We really enjoyed it. The bed was comfortable and both room and en-suite shower room were very clean. There were fans to help cool the rooms. Outside we had use of a fridge and the courtyard which was pretty.
The owners and staff were so friendly and even checked us in at 1.30 in the morning when our bus arrived back. At departure the owner very kindly took us to the airport.
The hotel is a five minute walk from the ADO bus station and in a nice and quiet part of town. There are bakeries, shops and restaurants nearby and the centre of Oaxaca is only a 15 minutes walk away.

“The location is one of the best things about Hotel Dainzu. Many of the tourist landmarks are easily accessible by foot and there are several good eateries in the area. There is a rotating staff that makes sure someone is at reception round-the-clock. The room was comfortable, homely and cleaned daily. Everyone was very welcoming and helpful.”
“The location was good and we found it to be fairly good value for money. The views are great from the top floor and there are loads of place to sit and eat/work. The shared bathroom was thoroughly cleaned eveyday and there was hot water. It would be a good place to stay if you wanted to be based in Oaxaca long term and do not want a party vibe.
