Look and feel of the restaurants, bars and rooms are a bit outdated and old.

Staff members were extremely helpful and friendly, villas were good, they arranged a welcome pack including wine and fruit platter, they celebrated our 10th anniversary, etc.

Delicious food with Japanese food, Chinese, local food, Indian food and western food. Beautiful environment, clean and quiet room, walked out to beach for swimming with coral fishes, shark and sting ray. Very relaxing mood. 👍👍👍

The only slightly negative to me was the price of food. (the food was delicious and good quantity and quality, I just felt it was overpriced) But, I don't know if that is Maldives pricing or the resort. Be sure to plan add extra to your trip’s food budget.

This was the best beach holiday I have ever had! I loved the location (not all islands are equal) and having a good reef to snorkel in just steps from the beach. There were a fantastic variety of activities that allowed you to do as much or as little as you wanted. Every staff member was great at their job allowing the resort to run smoothly. The guides took amazing go pro videos on all excursion so even if you don't have an underwater camera, you can still received amazing pictures! I also enjoyed their pillow menu to choose a pillow(s) that were the best for you! I am already mentally planning my return trip to Sun Siyam Vilu Reef!

Everything was professionally organized, from arrival to departure. Complimentary seaplane transfer was a great bonus along with the launge area at the airport (refreshment&snacks) on arrival. Used the launge area on departure as well (snacks&dinner), payed for this one but it was definitely worth it due to long waiting time. Incredible views from seaplane, warm welcome from the Resort staff, many thanks to our rep Thathi who enabled complimentary stay for few hours in overwater villa after the checkout time. First stay was in deluxe beach villa on sunrise side, very calm lagoon in front where snorkeling was possible even during bad weather. Many Thanks to Babur who did a great job cleaning it twice a day and did everything to make our stay as enjoyable as possible (small gestures but highly appreciated). The villa itself was great, with spacious frontyard surrounded by tropical bushes and palm trees, with typical Madivian swing in frontyard and openair bath in the back. Next stay was in overwater pool villa on sunset side, where we enjoyed amazing sunsets from the villa pool. Thanks to Firuze for making it clean. Special thanks to restaurant staff, especially to Shakil, the best waiter ever (and I have travelled a lot). Many thanks to chef Chaminda who did his best to please our palates and the pasta/grill stuff. The Island is quite small, you can walk around it in 10 minutes. Nevertheless the privacy is guaranteed. It was an enjoyable stay at Sun Siyam Villu Reef and would highly recommand it.

The Sun Siam Villa Reef place was something amazing, from the first moment we got off the plane, a man with a sign was waiting for us, then we went to the seaplane airport, where we were seated in a lounge, were also served, we waited for a maximum of 20 minutes and were told that the seaplane is ready, the experience from the seaplane was unreal, after getting off the seaplane, our host Anna was waiting for us, who accommodated us and showed us the island, whenever I could contact her the accommodation was beautiful, clean with a fantastic view of the ocean, villa service Arun cleaned us twice a day, which was great, all the people on the island were very smiling after a smooth departure from the island, a gentleman was waiting for us at the airport, who accompanied us to the controls, which was something amazing thank you to the whole sun siam vilu reef team for a fantastic stay. We will be happy to come back💙

Not about the property but just as an FYI for those with motion sickness, take a motion sickness pill before going on the seaplane as there might be two other stops before reaching Vilu Reef.

An extremely relaxing resort. We booked the reef villa and could see and swim with multiple different fishes and corals right outside our balcony! The hotel staff were friendly and helpful, we really appreciated the complimentary wine and cake they gave for my friend’s birthday.

Nothing at all, it rained 3 days only during our 8 days stay but overall amazing.

Everything, what’s not to like! The service, the staff, the community was just absolute perfection for our honeymoon, our host Didi took amazing care of us from the moment we arrived till we left, the food was delicious, the waiter Shayaan made sure we’re always enjoying our meals, the room was always clean thanks to Sabuel who cleaned it twice a day, everything was beautiful, it was a dream honeymoon that came into reality. The resort itself was full of activities and very very enjoyable, we booked the water villa and it was a beautiful gateway with the private pool, totally recommended!

Our stay at Vilu Reef was nothing short of amazing. Upon arrival, we were pleasantly surprised with a complimentary upgrade from a beach villa to a sunset reef villa. The views were breathtaking, and the room itself was luxurious and offering perfect romantic setting. To make our stay even more special, the resort decorated our bed beautifully, adding a personal touch that made us feel truly cherished. We also enjoyed a complimentary honeymoon dinner at the WellDone restaurant, where the food was exquisite, and the service was top-notch. Additionally, we were treated to a delightful breakfast in bed, making our mornings extra special. Every aspect of our stay was perfect, thanks to the attentive and caring staff especially Thathi who went above and beyond to ensure our honeymoon was magical. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and can’t wait to return in the future. I highly recommend Sun Siyam Vilu Reef to anyone looking for a romantic and luxurious getaway!i

Bedroom floor was not always cleaned well enough. It get's dirty from water, sand, etc and I don't think there was deep cleaning. But the staff was still very respectful and they brought everything we needed.

It would help to have a broom in the room so we can sweep out sand ourselves (our room was cleaned twice a day to help with this, but it would be handy to do it ourselves too). Prices for activities are far too overpriced, some should be included with cost of stay.

Everything! The place was truly an island paradise. We were greeted on arrival by Didi who was contactable via WhatsApp if we had any questions. Sabeiul did a great job of cleaning the room and topping up everything we needed. We were told Chef Buwan was responsible for the food and we were happy with the selections each day. There were plenty of options. All staff were very attentive and friendly. Shout out to Shasha at the Aqua bar and Ranjith at Nautilus Bar, also to Anis at the spa. We chose this place for our honeymoon and couldn't have been happier, they provided us with a honeymoon package and the attention to detail with this was so thoughtful. The overwater villa was a dream (although the sound from either pool pump or air con could get a bit loud at times).
