Transport - > Speed-boats from the Airport, a 90-minute ride (a really scary one, due to the bad weather). >At Atoll Ferry, he picked us up in a golf cart. >Helped me and the family to ride around the Island (pick-drops-5$) Missed/Freebies - As mentioned by the other visitors. >Welcome drink and some free dinner. >Bicycles to the beach and around (borrow/free). Scary - Maybe a one-off/ reason not to go Off-Season or during Rains. >Speed Boats only options, 30-40min diversions at times to avoid the rough waves, some going around 13 feet high from the boat, and no slowing down or stopping (they do have plastic bags for folks throwing up. :-P >Entire 4 days we stayed, it was pouring, a cyclone nearby or something, but just bad weather, throughout. >Just got 1 day of straight 5 hr window of Sun for pictures and snorkelling (that changed immediately to a storm). >Travel during the season time, not off it, though it will be cheaper, then be prepared for what comes your way. If we ever come back to Thoddoo would love to stay with Hassan and his lovely family again. We loved everything about the place and the Island! The island itself is a paradise. We highly recommend this place! Thoddoo is a quite tranquil place to get away from the other touristy crowd and spend time with nature it’s just perfect! Thoddoo Sun Sky Inn, Maldives Our stay at Sun Sky Inn was truly delightful and exceeded all our expectations. The accommodation was comfortable and cosy, and we were treated like family. Hassan, our host, was incredibly kind, polite, and friendly, making our experience even more enjoyable. Location: The inn is conveniently located about 700-800 meters from both the Sunrise and Sunset beaches, situated to the east and west of the property. It is also close to Mango House, Café & Restaurant, a fantastic spot for eating and snacking. I highly recommend marking or saving locations on your map, as many streets and small lanes do not appear on Google Maps, making it challenging to navigate. Consider downloading the island map for offline use (approximately 25MB). Facilities: The rooms and bathrooms are spacious and clean, with comfortable beds, furniture, mirrors, and fresh linens. Amenities include a TV, hot water available throughout the day and night, uninterrupted electricity, and air conditioning. The Wi-Fi, while not high-speed, is sufficient for basic needs, and complimentary coffee is available all day. The inn features a beautiful green garden centrally located at the entrance to every room. Access to the main door is via a swipe tag attached to the room key, which operates a numerical door lock. As this is an island with abundant vegetation, expect to encounter lizards, mosquitoes, and other pests, which is typical across Thoddoo. Food: Breakfast offerings include canned tuna with coconut shreds, boiled eggs, omelettes, sausages, pancakes, bread (with the option to toast), roti, Nutella, jam, butter, fresh watermelon, packed orange and grape juices, and packed milk. Free filtered water is also available.

Everything was even more than we expected! Friendly host, tasty breakfasts, very close to the sea location, quite place to get away from the crowd and spend time with nature it’s just perfect! Nothing more to say,we will be back here for sure once it will be chance to back to Maldives again!

The breakfast and the dinner could be better. They could serve us more local food and fruits.

The room was big and clean. The location was ok. We could borrow the bicycles for free every day to go to the beach and around. We also had a terrace on which was nice to seat when it was raining.

You will be able to find great food with around US$5 per meal on the island, there are many options, our top picks were Mango House, Dining restaurant and Giardino, just please prepare the local cash for those much cheaper local restaurant. Also try to get a fancy drink from "Simply with Aandespecial". If you are Russian you are lucky since >70% of the tourist on the island are Russian. The are two beaches on the island, namely Sunrise Beach and Sunset Beach (Thoddoo Beach), both are great and you will not be disappointed. We managed to meet a secret animal in the sea during our stay that we had been dreaming for, how lucky we are! Buffet breakfast has been excellent, I am vegetarian and I managed to feed myself very well. Some snorkeling equipment is available and bicycles are there, it's free to use but first-come-first-serve. The speedboat is US$35 per head per ride, or if you are brave enough you may try the public ferry [Google: atoll transfer 303-male-thodhoo-ferry]. One point to note is, booking.com might not showing the taxes until the payment page, the charges and taxes almost equal to the full room fee. Overall, it's an amazing place to explore the local life.

I really enjoyed my stay at Thodoo. The owners were really nice and helpful. The breakfasts were great, the room was big and the surroundings well maintained. The staff really made sure I felt comfortable here and asked if I had any special requests.

We loved everything about the place and the Island!

This is an amazing place for a couple! I will recommend it to everyone who wants to go to Thoddoo! Hassan - the owner and his family is very friendly and professional. Hassan showed us the island around, took us to the mosque and even we met his parents and we were invited for a dinner in his house! In terms of the food, we had a full board option, and the food was delicious! Always very big portions and we were never hungry there. Once for the dinner a very big fish was grilled only for us! We could finish only half of it. The hotel let us the bicycles and fins free of charge! They were very useful, loved cycling around the island and to the beach. The room was spacious and clean, same the bathroom! The Wi-Fi was working without any problem. If we ever come back to Thoddoo would love to stay there again! We will miss Hassan and his lovely family!

The accommodation in Sun Sky Inn was very pleasant and comfortable. We really appreciated welcome coconut drinks, local food (including fresh fruit and fish on the grill), comfy beds, air conditioning, free wifi and coffee and tea all day available. Rooms are spacious and cleaned every three days and the host (Hassan) was really helpful when we needed something (he even delivered our lunch to the beach or offered some medicine when I didn´t feel well). He also arrenged both transports for us. The island itself is a paradise. We highly recommend this place!

I can only strongly recommend Thoddoo Sun Sky Inn. My vacation there was wonderful. Hassan and his family are very helpful and make you feel incredibly welcome. When I had a question or needed help they were immediately there! On my last evening the other hotel guests and I were invited for dinner. It was the best meal - delicious fish, salad and veggies - I enjoyed on the island and I really appreciate the effort!

There is nothing i didn’t like.

I totally recommend Sun Sky Inn and i guarantee you won’t have the same experience in any luxury resort. the location is perfect, 10-15 min away by the bikini beach, shops and restaurants around. The staff is amazing, they provide everything you need and they are always very helpful with anything you ask. They also provide sea sports and excursions to the sandbank and snorkeling and with everything included. I celebrated my 30th birthday with them and i felt i was part of their family. They organized me a dinner on the beach during sunset, all the decorations were amazing and made me teared up. They also organized me a small party at the guest house with a birthday cake and nice decorations again. You can also use their bikes, i had some problema with my feet because of the sun and i barely could walk, they were so understanding and helped me with rides when i needed. I would definitely go back and choose their place. They also have a very beautiful and smart parrot, Emmy, which comforted me while i was in pain. You can have lunch and dinner at the place, they are fishing the fish themselves and cook it super delicious. i left crying on the way to the speedboat to the airport because i never wanted to leave. Unfortunately i cannot add more pictures so i tried to chose the most relevant ones. Thank you so much, Adhu, Ricky, Hasan, Emmy and all of you, my family in the Maldives.

We chose the Sun Sky INN because is build from bungalows that offer you intimacy. A bungalow has a big room with a comfortable bed, a generous bathroom and a lovely terrace facing the garden with a lot of plants, coconut and banana tree. In the garden there is a place for serving dinner with your feet in the sand, cosy sensation, and comfortable sofas to look at TV or listen music in the evening. Hassan and his family were a very generous host: they wait for us at 5.30 AM to the boat in the first day, offered us the breakfast every morning on the lovely terrace, prepared a tasty dinner when we asked on, offered us a lift to the beach. We chose many times to go to the beach by bikes to enjoy the cultivated fields with papaya treesor passion fruit, bikes that Hassan gave us for free. The big surprises were: the Christmas tree that they decorated for us, carols and a tasty dinner with fresh fish grill. We had 2 trips with a speed boat with Hassan brothers and his nephew to Rasdhoo and Mafushi. We enjoyed very much and felt safe with them. We even saw the beautiful manta in the see. We enjoyed the conversation that we had with the family and the information that they offered us. We strongly recommend Sun Sky Inn for the generous people that manage this business.
