As a Muslim in a Muslim country, I wished the management would have removed the alcohol from my room knowing that a Muslim couple is staying in.

I don't want to mention a specific negative comment about the resort. Still, I recommend that the resort's administration reconsider the breakfast menu, which is incompatible with a five-star resort.

Our stay at this resort was marvellous and unforgettable. This was my second time at this resort, the first time to celebrate my Honeymoon. I requested a superior room close to the beachfront, and they didn't hesitate to communicate my request and offered me dinner free of charge for one night. My wife and I tried Veli Spa and had a massage. It was a beautiful place to try different therapists and massages. Indeed, we felt relaxed with romantic music. The staff was friendly and helpful. During our stay at the resort, we sat in Athiri Bar before sunset. They serve fresh and soft drinks, and you can enjoy watching the sunset and ocean waves. The staff was cheerful and lovely.

The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, real professionals. We had great conversations, learned about the local culture - this openness and friendliness really elevated the experience. No matter our wishes and needs, they were always happy to help with a smile. Additionally, the island, the facilities, the food (with many many resturants), the great selection of cocktails and mocktails (the bar in general) were all amazing. Snorkeling around the resort is also highly encouraged by the staff. We took their advice and went snorkeling every single day. The local wildlife is incredibly diverse, ranging from colorful fish, peaceful eels and baby sharks, crabs, and even turtles. Even though we went in May, which is the rainy season, we still got to see all of these beautiful creatures, and the warm rain offered some great refuge from the heat as well. No matter the season, I'd highly recommend visiting this amazing place! We took a beachfront deluxe bungalow and the view was breathtaking, even with us booking for off season. We will definitely return!

Everything was okay I was just disappointed with the lady who took us pictures. We made an error of selecting the same making duplicate on the pictures we selected. She promised to chat to her manager and get back to us before we left but she didn’t. Wish she could have understood where we come from and help us

It’s a beautiful property and so close to the airport. Perfect location for a quick getaway. You do not have to spend another day travelling to remote islands

The gym could use a better rowing machine.

The facilities were good, especially the kids' club. Our daughter enjoyed those activities. Kids under four will require supervision, however. The bungalows were nicer than in the pictures. The gym was also sufficient. Beach villas have access to a separate breakfast area (quieter and more upscale), just opposite the breakfast area for other villas and rooms. We enjoyed the breakfast included but opted for a la carte for the different meals (lunch and dinner). It is close to the airport. If you choose a room instead of a separate bungalow, you will be on the ground floor or one level up, with four rooms in one building. The staff was amicable. You get access to a free kayak every day. Snorkeling was ok; you must swim just outside the breakers to see the lovely coral.

Restaurants within property are not all day dine and waiting time is long. Depending upon the distance of from your room to restaurants, walking 3-4 times between room and restaurant can be a challenge as well as time waste for some.

Location is very convenient from Male (Velana) airport. Well maintained and property. Staff in general are helpful.

High prices for food and drinks but this is normal for Maldives.

The nature is perfect. Big very green and clean territory. Clean sea. Nice white sand. Small funny sharks. Everything was perfect. This was our 3rd time in this hotel and we are looking forward to come back.

I loved everything the whole holiday..was like paradise and the people there absolutely friendly calm and helpful unlike other countries..best holiday I had in my life..and they decorated my room bed and gave a cake with candles for my birthday and 10 year anniversary..they made it so special which I didn't even expect..thank you all soo much at Kurumba..I really miss it and want to come back 😭 breakfast buffet is amazing soooo much different foods.

al a carte it quite highly priced, worth taking full board or all inclusive option if coming with family.

despite it’s one of the oldest hotels in Maldives, it doesn’t get old, it is always well maintained every time I visit it (usually once a year for the past 8 years they have loyalty program that offered discount for f&b and late check out (mine was at 6pm this time). they keep on upgrading the hotel with new restaurants. breakfast has great selection but before there we’re champagne and wines included, not any more. the best part it is only 10 mins by speed boat, which is convenient, but on one of the island sides there is the view of Hulhumale island with Highrisers.
