Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomActually for the size of the island everything was perfect, couldn't find anything that i did not like.
Food was the best so far for a all inclusive package, italian style food, local style food and drinks were on top. Seen sharks, sea turtles, all kind of fish and corals.

United KingdomNothing to dislike.
The water villa we stayed in was quiet and private with steps access straight into the water above the reef, it was fantastic. The resort (island) was pretty full but never felt like it. The staff and management were great, never intrusive but always there when we needed them. The food was exceptional at all times but particularly the private beach dinner. The snorkelling, around the island and on the boat trips was excellent with plenty of close encounters.

United Arab EmiratesThe quality of the drinks available on the “All inclusive” package was shocking! The wine was barely palatable, and beer available of no brand you have every heard of. The included spirits were all cheap and also of very poor quality. You could pay extra for Gordon’s Gin, Jamisons whiskey etc, but I would NEVER call these premium beverages. These should have been the basic of an All inclusive, and even better quality alcohol given as extra if wanted. Cheapened the whole experience for me and couldn’t believe the cheek of offering such sub standard beverages considering the price you pay for your trip.
The house reef and snorkelling was the highlight. The food was consistently at a very high standard, with plenty of options available. All other facilities were at expected standard for the price and 5 star resort.

AustraliaFantastic stay at Diamonds. Very smooth transfer service via seaplane and from the first second in the staff made me feel so at home. The island itself is actual paradise on earth. I stayed in the Bungalow and due to it being low season it felt very private. Everything felt fresh and new, plenty of activities to do like snorkelling and yoga or just to relax and escape the world. Loved watching the seaplanes land from my balcony. Food was amazing for an all inclusive, two different restaurants, a buffet and plenty of different options every day. Cockatils very strong! Really didn't want to leave.

United Arab Emirates1)The food Quality can improve. While I understand that everything is imported mostly ,it can be improved 2) The sea Plane service spoilt half a day upon arrival and half a day at departure as they have tight schedules.
The Staff and warmth by all especially the Italian staff at front office and the F&B Manager Prasanta , The Srilankan Chef and Muhamed who personally looked after us.

United KingdomThe water villa was a bit far from the beach but that is expected, and it is both a positive (nice and secluded) and negative so we really can't complain. On the plus side, they do offer a buggy service which you can call and request from the water villa. We did a 50:50 split with a beach villa, and water villa. The only negative I would say was that the shower at the water villa was not as hot as the beach villa.
The resort was just the right size; neither too big or small. They seem to cater for couples rather than families which meant there were less people at the resort allowing the staff to be more attentive. Everyone was super friendly and the service was 5 star along with the food. We know of a few couples who visited Meeru island for their honeymoon and we did a lot of research and comparisons with Meeru but chose diamonds Thudufushi, and we have absolutely no regrets. Highly recommend this resort for couples.

SwedenNothing!! Everything was 💯!!
All the staff were very nice. But the nicest and with a high class service was Hussein who worked as a waitress. He was quick, curious and always knew what was needed. So nice and humble. Another person who made us feel at home was Rasal who drove the golf cart. He could see us from far away and was on the spot quickly. nice, always asked how we were and if we are fine and if something is missing. Even the man who cleaned our room, unfortunately can't remember his name, always clean and fresh in The room. Then I would also like to add that the two managers of the resort are very professional and want the best for the visitors. Their employees also spoke highly of them, which makes the whole experience that much extra. Thanks to the staff, we would love to come back. Thank you Diamonds Thudufushi for an unforgettable week.

United KingdomNothing! If we had to pick one thing, Island life meant that sand was often brought in to the room on feet and towels and although housekeeping came twice a day to clean, a little brush to sweep it out ourselves would have helped keep the room a little cleaner.
The setting was ideal. just far enough away from Male to feel exclusive but only a short sea plan ride away. The staff were informative and incredibly friendly. they couldn’t do enough to help you and ensure that you enjoyed your stay. The food was absolutely outstanding! There was so much choice and fresh options every day.

RussiaSince there are no breakwaters around the island, the waves can be strong and there are many sharp pieces of coral in the sand. Also the sand is quite coarse. To tell the truth, there is practically nowhere to swim. The sea is only suitable for snorkeling.
As we expected, this is a small island with a good house reef rich in fish. We also met a bat, parrots, iguanas and herons at the island. As for the hotel, it is not too new, but clean and tidy. For the use of beach villas residents there is one beach bar and one main restaurant. Be prepared for the fact that drinks at the bar need to be taken on your own. The restaurant offers good quality dishes (except of grills and desserts, they don't deserve attention). The variety of food is not very large. It also seemed to me that there were not many fruits. In addition, you have to wait for the fruit to be cut for you or the main course to be cooked. Ultimately it doesn't sound like a bad thing due to the courteous staff. All staff are very friendly especially the chef and the watersports guys. Thanks to them and a big hello) I want also thank Masud, who put us in a villa overlooking the sunrise and for answering all my questions before arriving.
