I prefer a walk in shower to having the shower in the bath, but this is a personal preferance and a minor issue.

Well specified, comfortable and clean room. The hotel's common areas had a great feel to them. Perfect location for Valletta. Friendly and attentive staff. Great breakfast and also they do a fantastic buffet lunch on Sunday.

honestly cannot think of anything negative. We had a very positive stay with the hotel and there were no issues, i am sure if there were they would have been a quick solution.

100% would stay again! the location was the best as it's so close to central Valetta... The staff were so good, and matched the high quality perception of the hotel when you walk in. Room service staff were great too! Special shout out to Enya who walked us through wedding planning. the pool area is the man of the match! so chilled, clean and the views by the pool are exceptional. the pool staff are also great, they operate with a fine line between checking in too much and not enough so you are able to not be disturbed but t the same get a drink when needed.

The Phoenicia Hotel is exceptional! The location is fantastic-just walk out the door and all the sights of Valletta are right there. The staff is amazing-the concierge was particularly helpful in making arrangements and helping us during our visit. The grounds of the hotel are very expansive and beautiful overlooking the fortifications and surroundings. The main lounge area is very nicely appointed and a comfortable place for drinks and snacks.

It’s a bit stodgy and a lot of the waiting staff look miserable. The pool is a ridiculously long way away for mobility-challenged people.

The location is great - a very short walk from the main gate into the city walls, but in an open space where you can admire the ocean. The doormen and concierge were superbly helpful.

Don't stay during Eurovision week...!

Hotel... Perfect. Location... perfect Staff.. Spa... Restaurant... Lounge... Perfect Within easy walking distance of the main city... 2mins. Has one of the best restaurants in Valletta (contessa). Plus The main lounge is a nice place to be.. Ambience.. People and all very calm. We have stayed in many hotels on this World... This ranks very highly in our opinion. Thank you... All. Will be back...

Staff were perfect, attentive yet invisible, friendly and courteous, extremely helpful and always smiling. Always had time for a chat but never overstayed their welcome. Room was beautiful and spotless with ultra comfortable bed (rooms aren’t the biggest but easily enough and more than made up for in all other areas) Poole area was superb and a gorgeous wander through the gardens to get there, once again with excellent staff, food was faultless in main restaurant and pool restaurant.

Only one small point: while water was plentifully provided in the bedrooms, a charge was made for exactly the same product by the swimming pool. This struck a slightly sour note.

Nearly every thing beautifully decked out up to date but with a traditional feel . Breakfast is the best ever my previous favourite was was the London Ritz but this is better First class Luxury
