The only reason we didn't rate this a 10 was because we visited super late season and the restaurant was closed, even though that wasn't mentioned at the time of the booking. If you go late season, just be aware of this.

Cool, extremely comfortable mountain hut style accommodation in an incredible place. The hikes nearby are stunning and the terrace gets enough sun on the afternoon to enjoy a beer at the end of the hike. There are also some amazing dogs that are happy to follow you on your hike (top tip: bring some dog treats).

Houses are nice but extremly tiny. Shower is tired and tiny. It is not comfortable at all. Bed linen could be much better. All the amenities are tired I would say.

The host is extremly nice and friendly and helpfull. Gave us all the info on activities and the area, answered all the questions, met us, fed us - absolutely fantastic. We are really grateful!

Breakfast was great each morning! The location is stunning. We got sandwich packages to take into the mountains. Dinner was great too! Very tasty :) Loved it there. Thanks for the hospitality!!

Room was all beds. No seating. Need more electrical outlets. Pillows and beds uncomfortable. Lumpy and mattress stained. Thank goodness for sheets!

Awesome location that is family run by a lovely mother and her energetic son. Loved the fried pancake, it’s a hidden gem on the menu. They also went far and beyond to send my forgotten glasses back to me. These are very good and kind people.

- The food was fine, but we thought the other places nearby were a bit nicer (breakfast, however, was great!)

- Perfect location for starting the kissing cats and volusnica hikes, can’t get any better. - Like another review said; you can’t really expect 5-star luxury at the foot of the mountains. It has all the things you need; a nice bed, a hot shower and the most stunning views of the mountains!! - We booked a private cabin, so we did not have any issues with noise from our neighbours.

It would have been better if the hut was not divided in two, so there's absolutely no intimacy. Breakfast could be better.

First, the location is just great. Maja Karanfil Bungalows is the last accomodation in the Grebaje Valley, so one can fully enjoy an unobstructed view of the stunning Prokletije Mountains. The bungalow that we were given is actually a small wooden hut (hut no. 6), with three beds and a bathroom on the ground floor and a queen bed + one more bed upstairs (up the ladders). The downside is that the hut is divided vertically in two identical parts, so you are a thin wooden wall away from your neighbours. Needless to say, you can hear everything going on on the other side, and that goes both ways. For breakfast, you can choose between an omelette, french toast, etc, plus a coffee or a tea. Not a big choice and not so abundant, but at least it's something. Hosts are kind although struggling due to lack of staff.

Noice from the neighbors in the twin cabins. We could practically hear every word they said. Bring earplugs so it won’t be a problem. The internet is not reliable and only works sometimes. That seems to be a general issue in Montenegro so plan ahead well in advance.

The walls are very thin, so be aware that you can hear everything from the other room.

The host was absolutely perfect, helped us with everything we needed and made us feel at home. The restaurant was very good. There was great Wi-Fi in the entire area. We started a great hike near the cabin with beautiful view.

What a beautiful place to stay! Probably the best view in the valley. The bungalow was clean, cosy and comfortable with a fridge, ensuite, a coffee maker and even a hairdryer. The host was very helpful, informative and hardworking. His parents were also very helpful despite the language barrier. We had an excellent stay and would definitely recommend this place!

The bathroom is really small, if you're not careful, everything gets wet when you're showering. But we knew this in advance.

Very friendly staff and excellent location! Right near the hiking trails. You can get a simple breakfast and dinner. We enjoyed our stay. The huts are basic but good enough to sleep.

Rustic cabins, cozy with heater, great views. Very small. Shower/toilet combo like a boat. Nice breakfast and coffee included Nearby restaurant has great food. Right at the start of the walk so location excellent. Very peaceful setting.
