Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Czech RepublicA bit outdated equipment, but understandable taking into account location.
Tacheddirt is deserted place in the middle of mountain. This riad was very pleasant surprise taking into account all circumstances - very nice place, a lots of space, just breathtaking terrace where we could just sit, eat, and relax.

Germany2 misunderstandings with a room price (dinner, cost of staying). Both solved in an acceptable way, but spoiled nice feelings. Very cold on 5th January (expected), but no heater in the room, the room is not tight to save the warmth. I saw better places. Chimney makes too much smoke
It seems the only good place to stay in this remote village, nice views We were the only guests. Tasty and big tagine. Chimney

United KingdomWe arrived to find the hotel totally deserted. It almost felt like it had closed down with no other guests. We did eventually find someone to help us but everyone seemed surprised we were there despite having a booking and indicating our approximate time of arrival. All was fine in the end and everyone was super helpful. It just felt a bit odd at first.
The location could not be beat. We loved the views from the terrace! The staff were super kind and helpful. The food was also amazing. Really fresh and full of flavour. Rooms were as described and perfect for a night of rest after a hard trek from Imlil. A truly unique experience that we will remember.

GermanyThere is an asphalt road to Tachddirt, so you could expect a normal service. Instead it is a really village level with overpriced food. 1. One towel for the whole family. Big questions about it freshness. 2. Not sure if the "bed linen" is fresh. 3. No heating in the room whatsoever. 4. The only place in Morocco, where they wanted 11MAD for Euro of the Booking price instead of a fair rate. Unfortunatelly I didn't have the exact amount in euro. 5. The owner is available only on the phone. The old man at the building does not speak any foreign language. This makes the communication awful. 6. Overpriced food (7 euro per person for dinner). They will also charge you for the tea. We came from Timichi via the pass, for other options we need to walk + 30 minutes. I see no reason for you to come here just to see this village.
This is the closest location to the pass to the Timichi / Labasn / Sti Fadma. The village itself is not better than any other near by.

TurkeyFirst of all, on our way to Tacheddirt, I called the hostel and a lady called “Touria” picked up. She said everything possible to make us cancel our stay because “we’re driving at night and it’s impossible to find the hostel and we’re likely going to get lost”. The phone call was very long and annoying and we were already outside of Marrakesh driving towards Imlil. She later throw many other excuses at us asking us to cancel such as “the is only one old man in the hostel and he only speaks berber”. Secondly, during the entire stay at the hostel, while “Lhoussein” did his best to accommodate our needs, he is not the best staff to assign as a host. Lhoussein kept coming inside our suite and came once inside our bedroom while my friend and I were taking a nap. There were many scenarios like these where we felt uncomfortable. Then, we couldn’t take showers during the entire stay because water was so cold and never gets heated. Food was below par, we asked for entire meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner). Lhoussein was the one cooking everything, while his cooking is really good, thing served were below expectations. Breakfasts are very poor, too much jam and cold bread. We were never served fresh bread although we said many times we have no problem paying extra for some good food, maybe hot water.
I like the location and the vast space inside this hostel. It’s massive! It has got many private suits with private terrace, it’s quiet and very serene. Furniture and beds are up to our expectations and no complaints on those.

MoroccoIt is better to add the cost of meals to Booking
The place is quiet and the view is wonderful. The owner of the place Mr. Lahssein is very friendly. You feel like he is a member of your family because of his good treatment and kind words. An excellent place to clear your mind in the middle of the mountains.

Czech RepublicThere was no staff when we arrived, the gite was closed and we had to wait for a local to get someone with a key to open it for us. The guy told us that the owner is away and they didn't know about our reservation via booking, whether we paid or not, how much should we pay... The dinner (tajine) which we paid extra cost the same as anywhere in Morocco and wasn't that great for the price. Toilets were not clean when we arrived. I wouldn't mind any of this in some other small and cheap gites in the area, but this one cost much more than the rest, so I would expect added value as well.
The gite is really huge with various rooms, big dinning room and amazing terrace with a beautiful view to the valley from which you can watch the sunset.

United KingdomCold, damp and unclean room. We were the only guests and the accommodation still seems to be in a mothballed state.
Excellent location in the middle of the village with a lovely terrace. Strong hot shower and a delicious evening meal.
