Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThe location is a bit difficult to get to, although that is the case for most ryads in Morocco. You have to go through the market and different narrow streets.
The room was fantastic and the facilities were beautiful. Also the staff was very friendly and always available. The food was good and overall price was fair.

SpainThere is nothing I did not really like and this is just a personal opinion. For breakfast I would have preferred Moroccan food, for instance Moroccan pancakes and mint tea. Also the decoration was not entirely my taste, in the bedroom, it was a mix of French and Moroccan things, which for me, lacked a little bit of authenticity, then again, it is only my opinion, I do not mean it in a negative way.
To begin with, the host Elodie, was exceptional, she was really efficient and she helped me to get picked up from the train station and also she arranged a porter for the distance between the car park and the Ryad. I was able to communicate with her very quickly and it made our arrival so much more enjoyable. The staff that worked in the ryad was kind, reliable, and pleasant, they ensured we had a nice stay. They gave us tea and Moroccan biscuits and were very helpful. The room was huge and spotless, with a beautiful view from the balcony on the green patio and pool. In the room, the AC worked perfectly and it was very relaxing. We had enough towels, which again were clean, the same goes for the bedding, everything was clean and fresh. The ryad itself is quite stunning and it is peaceful, you will be able to hear birds and nothing else. It is also located close to restaurants and shops and it has easy access. We were able to go out at night and have dinner in a beautiful spot, and then just walk back to the ryad.

Riad Salama is literally a beautiful, tranquil oasis within the busy labyrinth of the Fes Medina. We loved the beautiful garden, the birds singing in the trees, the friendly roaming tortoise, and the surprisingly deep refreshing pool. The staff were just amazing & so helpful. I wish I could have just picked up this Riad and carried it with me to all locations in Morocco.

MoroccoThe only thing I did not like about my stay was that it was not longer. We could have stayed at Ryad Salama for a week and will likely do just that next time.
Michel, Elodie and staff at Ryad Salama exceeded all expectations in hospitality, comfort, accommodation and cuisine. From booking, through having to change the booking due to personal schedule conflict to the stay itself, I always had the feeling that the staff at Ryad Salama were ready to do whatever it took for my family to have a wonderful stay in Fès. Je reviendrai certainement!

ItalyIf we have to suggest something, it would be nice to find also a pair of slippers and a more powerful hairdryer.
There's a beautiful garden in the Riad. It's really stunning. All the staff Is really kind and lets you feel super welcomed. Amazing breakfast. Our room was clean and well decorated, like almost all the Riad. Great attention to all details. Loved it. Probably if you don't force yourself, you would never leave this place.

RomaniaNothing, everything was great
The riad looks amazing! It’s a real oasis in the middle of the medina. Our room was spacious and pretty soundproof, especially compared to other places in the medina. Breakfast was really good: eggs (scrambled, omelette, however you prefer them), french croissants, butter, cheese, jam, sometimes pancakes, fresh orange juice, tea, etc. The hospitality was also great. Their dinners (especially the soups and desserts) were very good too. If I’m coming back to Fes, I’ll definitely stay here again!

CanadaOur room was luxurious and beautiful. A welcome rest after seeing the sights of Fes. The staff were so friendly and helpful and made us feel at home. We appreciated being in a quieter part of the Medina and got great sleeps. Not noisy at night at all. Fantastic breakfasts too! Had the full dinner the first night we arrived after a long day of travel. It was delicious, very ample portions and amazing dessert. Thank you!

SpainThe Ryad was amazing. Our room had a palacial feel about it, the shower was divine as was our terrace. The communal terrace area, garden & pool was superb, a real treat and escape form the city. With mature trees, shrubs and tortoises roaming freely, it was a complete oasis. The food, drinks and people were wonderful, helpful, caring and nothing was too much trouble. I have to say that everything about breakfast was exceptional! And location was spot on, very central.
