Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaThe toilet drain was a little smelly for the first few days but seemed to get better! The only downside to the breakfast was the lack of fruit. I only mention this as one of the reasons I chose this riad is because the breakfast photo in Booking.com has a huge bowl of fruit in it (which I thought would be a nice change from the heavier bread/pastry staples in this part of the world).
Fantastic location, right in the medina but in a very small lane so extremely quiet. Personally, I like places that are older. more traditional and have character...so I loved this riad. Mohamed was extremely welcoming, friendly and helpful (as were the other staff). Breakfast was large and filling. I also appreciated the fact I could use the kitchen facilities which made my stay feel like being at home.

The riad is in a great location in the middle of the medina. Mohamed is a fantastic host - very friendly and helpful with advice on where to eat and go and some handy safety tips. We also had a very nice breakfast.

PortugalAs everywhere in marrakech the spaces are a little dated and not modernized, but is part of the experience. Nothing else to add
The Location was perfect. We were a big group and rented the full Riade for us. Right in the middle of the medina and the confusion of the markets, but at same time in a narrow street without motos or people which made it very quiet. Breakfast was rich and abundant. But the best was the kindness and friendly from the staff Mohamad. Very helpful and with very good english. Even he cooked for us one night a perfect tagine, to dinner in the rooftop under the stars. A place to repeat no doubt.

Location is perfect, close to the main square. Mohamed is talkative and friendly. He told us many useful information, where to change money and where to eat with a good price. Nice room! Nice breakfast!!

MoroccoThe bathroom was smelling badly so that you always had to keep the bathroom door closed to prevent the smell from getting into the bedroom.
+ very good value for money + situated in the medina close to main square Jemaa El Fna but still quite calm + Mohamed who is working at the reception was friendly, always willing to help and very welcoming + the rooms were equipped with comfortable beds (soft mattresses) and private bathrooms with hot water (that is not always the case for this price in Marrakech) + good breakfast included + nice and relaxing rooftop terrace

The place was very well located in the center of the Medina and with good restaurants and shops around. It was still quiet enough to enjoy a peaceful night of sleep.

IsraelThe water flow in the shower was very weak. You have to take into account that it is an ancient building, but on the other hand the location is worth it.
An excellent Riad in the center of the old city of Marrakesh, 3 minutes' walk from Jemaa el-Fnaa square. Mohammed the host was Kind! He took care of everything needed, always helped, and gave tips for trips. Thank you very much Mohammed!

United StatesThe WiFi was absolute crap! It was pretty much un-useable. They tried to fix it, but it was terrible the whole time.
This place has the greatest location. It is right in the middle of the Medina in an area with such a great, peaceful vibe, yet steps from all of the action to the north and south. The room was very small, but I’m told they are all like that in the area. It has a great rooftop area that has three different areas to hang out. The place is cute as can be. I really liked it and I would stay there again, if they can fix the WiFi. If it had good WiFi I would have rated it higher.

CanadaThe room could have been a little bigger. Not the typical Riad since no garden inside.
We were always on the go so didn’t spend much time at the Riad Wink. The Morrocan crepes are delicious! The room was a little small but we were there only to sleep. The rooftop has a great view and place to eat and relax. The manager Hicham is super nice and funny man. He answered any questions we had Marrakech and enjoyed a great chat about soccer.

Hong KongThey said there is air conditioning and hair dryer but I don't find. They said the credit card machine is broken so I have to pay by cash. The entrance is in a very narrow and dirty alley. Only one very small window facing the patio so very humid in the room. No air conditioning, the fan is fixed so blowing to my head and very noisy. Water does not go away in the bathroom so after washing my hair I have to wait 15 minutes to start my shower !!
Not far away from the square. The price is cheap.

ColombiaThe bathroom was smelly and it required some cleaning. Google maps route is not the correct one, ensure you ask the proper indications to get the Riad, in our case we ended up in the back street, to find the enter we had to surround the street, if you have a heavy luggage it can take like 10 more mins (keep in mind the medina has many streets and is easy to get lost).
The location is great, 7 mins walk from the main square Jamaa el-fna, friendly staff, unfortunately to have lunch you need to notify in advance. The riad has a nice view from the rooftop where you can stay late in the night or have breakfast (which was delicious).
