Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

NetherlandsThe location is a bit out of the center in an area without other tourists. We got harassed by locals a couple of times when walking around at night, which was a bit annoying. Wouldn't recommend to walk around this neighborhood for girls
Everything. The room was perfectly clean, the service was top notch. Mustapha is always there for whatever you need. The swimming pool is big and very clean. The riad itself looks stunning.

My sister and I stayed at Riad Syba for four nights, and it was an absolute dream. Moustapha was the perfect host, always taking care of us and providing the best tips about the city. The breakfast was delicious, the room incredibly comfortable, and the area is very peaceful. A tip for future guests: Make sure to ask Moustapha to arrange a pick-up at the airport for you, or you will regret it. If I come to Marrakech ten times, I would stay at Syba every single time! Highly recommended!

United KingdomA bit further from the centre of Marrakech than I thought. Initially I thought it was tought to find as it is well ouside the Medina. But the Medina is VERY busy, so it might be viewed as a bonus.
Fantastic suite. Great breakfast. Oustanding host - nothing was too much trouble. Taxis available for 5 euros or use the local bus service - a few mins walk from the Riad.

United KingdomMustafa was incredibly attentive. He went above and beyond to offer us advice and make our stay comfortable. He was happy to make us breakfast earlier than usual to accommodate for our planned day trips. The location is outside of the main Medina which gives the opportunity to experience authentic everyday life amongst the locals in Marrakech, and have some peace and respite after a busy day in the souks! I would absolutely recommend anyone to stay here :) Thanks Riad Syba for a great stay!

PortugalThe most perfect place to stay in Maraquexe. The host/owner is perfect, always ready to help and answer all our questions. The host provide us the most amazing suggestion of places to go, food to try, locations to explore, did the most incredible breakfast everyday, support us in everything we needed and for sure we will go to Maraquexe again and stay in the same Riad over and over again. Also the place is super clean, all utilities provided, close to the center but far enough from the most tipycal touristic place, fast and easy transport (taxi and bus) to everywhere, and if you want to stay close to the main atractions but far enough from the caotic touristic place, this is the perfect Riad for you.

We stayed here for 4 nights and the Riad is beautiful, with lovely Moroccan decor. It was clean, comfortable and just a 10 minute taxi ride to the Medina (town centre). Breakfast was included and was lovely omelettes, crepes, jams etc. On one evening we had a vegetable and a chicken tagine and they were absolutely delicious. The owner, Mustapha, is a lovely chap who speaks Arabic, French and English and constantly goes over and above to make his guests feel welcome. We were given the famous Moroccan mint tea on arrival and Mustapha took the time to give us some advice about taxis, where to visit, best place to exchange currency etc. He was available every day to answer any questions we had and he was there to greet us each night after our day exploring Morocco and he took the time each night to ask us about our day. We would thoroughly recommend staying at the Riad Syba as it is a lovely hotel with a beautiful courtyard and a gorgeous rooftop terrace. Mustapha makes the stay even more enjoyable with his attention to detail and even arranged a taxi to pick us up from the airport and then take us back again. Thanks again for everything Mustapha ❤️ x

It was beautiful on the inside, the rooms had plenty of space for comfort, and it felt very cozy to be in whenever I wanted to take a break from traveling outside. Mustapha was an amazing host, incredibly helpful whenever I needed assistance and was always available. By far one of the best hosts I’ve had the pleasure of meeting. It was a great stay, breakfast when needed in the mornings was good, they even did laundry for me when I needed.

Absolutely stunning riad providing an authentic Moroccan experience. Mustapha — owner and host — is so kind and friendly, and is always there to provide help or information whenever needed. He and his staff went out of their way to make my stay the most enjoyable one I could have ever hoped for; in fact I would say I have never enjoyed my time in an accommodation more than what I’ve experienced here at Riad Syba.

United KingdomNothing. There’s no tv in the rooms and it’s very quiet but that’s exactly what I wanted. WiFi is a little bit intermittent, but nothing you can’t work round by waiting a couple of minutes. I’d definitely head back here again for some winter sun and beautiful food.
Spotlessly clean. Nice area to smoke on the roof. Staff and owner are just the loveliest people. Food is out of this world but book the day before. Breakfast is a real treat and the coffee is amazing. It is walking distance from the medina if you don’t mind walking, and the immediate area feels far more authentic than the touristy bit. Walking distance from a couple of palaces too. It’s not the sort of place you can grab tea or coffee constantly but we take a tiny travel kettle and there’s a tiny kiosk shop literally right outside the front door with the most lovely helpful chap in there - despite the language barrier. Weather in late January was 27 degrees and felt hotter. Just what was needed after leaving snow in U.K.
