Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThe room was comfortable and clean. The host was able to help us with everything we asked for; a driver for the day to visit Volubilis, reservations, dinner suggestions. She is very kind, sweet, and friendly!

United StatesA charming building from the 30's that has been converted into a hotel. It has a lovely courtyard. It was pretty cold in Fes while we were there, so the roaring fireplace in the common room and the good heaters in our unit were welcome. The owner arranged for a walking tour. One benefit of the location; it's all downhill through the souks. Then you can hop in a cab and return to the riad.

Great location and amazing Riad! Our host went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and taken care off. She organised us a guided tour through the Medina, that was amazing! The riad is beautiful, quiet and with a great location. We loved the breakfast, it was a great way to start the day! :)

United KingdomYou need to be able to handle steep stairs for the room with the balcony, but I guess that’s the price you pay for a view ! A small fridge in the room would have been very useful.
Beautiful Riad in the Andalusian style built around a century ago. Nice balcony with our room which was quite sizeable. Lovely staff led by a charming host/owner who was always on hand to assist.

United KingdomRelative to other Riads not highest attention to detail in terms of cleaning; and quality of breakfast but we were really spoilt elsewhere- Bathroom needs modernising; showering awkward without screens and bath use difficult without taps-
Charming Riad (our third and penultimate experience of Riad on a 17 days trip across Morocco) and the most expensive; best marmalade for breakfast - option of soaking pool was nice Youssef was a star- I would give him 10 out of 10 alone

FranceThe steps between the bedroom and bathroom are very dangerous especially in the middle of the night if you don’t remember where the light switch is. The curtains in the top level terrace room let the light in so make sure you have a mask. Lastly.. parking can be hazardous as the attendant, in our case, had us park in a place that blocked people from getting out of the house. Our car was keyed causing significant repaint cost. Make sure you ask Soad to verify where her parking attendant makes you park. The attendants just want your money and don’t necessarily work in your interest.
Our host Soad was very friendly and gave utmost attention to making our stay pleasant as well as recommending places to eat. We particularly appreciated Youssef who helped us to take our bags to the last floor room on the terrace and was extremely helpful in getting the restaurants to send someone to pick us up as some restaurants are very hard to find.

I loved the quirky layout of the Riad, and the private rooftop terrace was fantastic! The room was a great size and very comfortable, and the inner courtyard was a nice place to relax.

United StatesLots of stairs - but of course, that is what you get in such an old rian. Not really a problem for us.
An old riad. Close to the heart of the medina. Charming. The staff was helpful though language was a bit of a strain. Good suggestions for dinner. A nice, simple breakfast. Our rooom had a rooftop area with a wonderful view.

SpainBeautiful old building with an enchanting courtyard. In short walking distance to the old souk. Large, very clean rooms with comfortable beds. Large bathroom with lots of very hot water. It is a very old building and not perfect, but that is why it is so incredibly charming. The host is extremely helpful and makes everything possible, even a meal at midnight. We enjoyed our stay and can recommend this Riad highly.

United KingdomThe riad was a bit difficult to find, directions were not accurate on Google maps or maps.me. We didn't find signs leading to the riad (as we found in other places where we stayed in Morocco). I would recommend to ask the owner of the riad for a map that shows how to reach the riad. She's really helpful.
Beautiful riad walking distance from the Fez medina. The decor was really nice, both in the common areas and in the room. There's a small pool in the main courtyard. We stayed in the room on the top floor, which was really spacious and had a really nice terrace overlooking the courtyard of the riad (unfortunately there's not a great view over the city from the terrace). The staff was extremely courteous and nice. They provided information about Fez. They even helped us with our local SIM cards and also with printing boarding passes for our flight (as Fez airport did not accept digital boarding pass). Breakfast is served in the main courtyard by the pool.

AustraliaNothing. We had the place to ourselves as tourists are still only trickling back to Morocco, so it felt very peaceful.
The Riad is like living in a small Moorish palace. Huge carved doors, beautiful tiling, the sound of water from the fountain in the courtyard, elegant and peaceful. The Kamoun suite is particularly recommended, with a large outside terrace exclusively to ourselves with views of the Rif mountains. It makes it stand out among other riads where we have stayed. The comfort of the beds and the excellence of things like water pressure for example are also worth mentioning. This is a medieval city after all. Excellent breakfast tailored to our needs (wheat intolerance) and just simply all-round beautiful with attentive staff.

SwitzerlandThe furniture in our room was slightly run down, but that seems almost fitting for a 14th-century riad.
The owner, Souad, welcomed us in the peaceful courtyard with hot mint tea and cookies and spent as much time as we needed sharing tips on how to explore her native city, Fes. We could have spent hours in the courtyard with its burbling fountain and palm and orange trees, and on the rooftop terrace with its view of the city. The rooms were huge regal with tall ceilings, beautiful tile work, and local artisan lamps. Best of all was the hospitality of Souad, who went out of her way to show us around, to spoil us with different local specialties in the courtyard for breakfast each morning, and to fold the laundry we had hung out to try. A true gem of a place.
