Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

RussiaIt's not about dislikes, just to know: The room has no keys (which didn't affect our stay) We managed to use only one socket - the rest are too wide for the plug There's only small portion of champoo and a soap, no shower gel The bed is a bit noisy for a couple;)
The host and his wife are amazing. They were really welcoming. The first night we had a home-made dinner with them and it was really tasty. The riad and the room are nice, we felt safe and comfortable. Breakfast is ok with fried eggs and it's served on a wonderful terrace, which I really really liked. It's not a luxury stay, but it's fair and you get a bit more for the price you pay. And they do have a hairdryer!!! I would definitely recommend this place and will stay here once more. And so do the other guests of the riad)

SpainThe staff was amazing. Super nice and kind! Location was very interesting: in the middle of the medina. You can always call them and they pick you up and walk with you to the riad (that was very nice). Breakfast in the terrace with the nice view was great. The common area downstairs is beautiful.

We liked the fact of being inside the Medina, living a great Moroccan experience, in a 15th-century Riad, with a very nice breakfast, and very kind people at our service. The rooms are big, with a nice bathroom, big and clean.

Good value hotel and very friendly staff. The room was large and although not too fancy it was very comfortable. The location was excellent for us, in the heart of the Medina and close to everything. Probably the best Riad I stayed in Morocco , lovely traditional home without the feeling of a Riad business ,it is really a authentic and Mohamed and his staff are very welcoming and always willing to help. Communication was easy, our room is spacious and the blankets are really comfortable , the bathroom is clean and large enough, beautiful terrace and view ,I cannot complain .5 stars. I will definitely stay again.

GermanyReally great staff, excellent service, helpful and funny. The highlight is definitely the terrace and the location in the middle of the old medina, between markets and cultural life. If I come back to Tetuoan, I would book this accommodation again! Chokran!

SpainThe location is very good, it’s in the middle of the Medina. The people working here is very welcoming and kind. We had a very good homemade Moroccoan dinner and breakfast on the beautiful roof with a view of the Medina and the mountains. We wanna thank Hassan, one of the workers for his help of understanding the Medina, for tips to eat, good conversations and bringing us to the mountain for a very good tea and view over the whole Tetouan. You can also enjoy this amazing tea at the roof! We will 100% come back here in a short time!

SenegalWe arrived in the late evening. No assistance was offered to bring your bags upstairs on the steep staircase. The room had a very muffy and dusty smell. Did not have the feeling it was very clean neither. Even worse, we did not have a sense of privacy at all. The main window did not have a double curtain so you could look into the room.. Morninglight comes in. Windows are old and not closing properly to block the noise from people sitting and smoking on the rooftop. You even smell it in your room. So no respect for people staying in the riad. Bathroom was dirty and the toilet broken, so we could not flush the toilet. They state they have shampoo, just one small shampoo bag for 2 persons. No handsoap.. They state they have airconditioning, not a single room has it, just a fan. You dont get a key to close your room when you're going for breakfast. The breakfast was the only positive note to this stay. Very sorry but one of my worst hotel experiences so far and I travelled already to more than 25 countries.
The breakfast was very simple but okay. The guy who served it was also friendly. If you looking for a cheap one night stay and dont care a lot about facilties or cleanliness this is okay. If you want to enjoy the experience of a clean and neat riad, I would not recommend. Very sorry.

GermanyThe shower had no curtain, so you should shower carefully to avoid flooding the bathroom. But that's not a big deal.
The hosts are very kind and helpful especially to European tourists who are not used to these labyrinth-like old town districts. ;) They even parked my motorcycle in the entrance hallway in one of their houses nearby for it to be safe overnight. The Riad itself with its lovely architecture and the roof terrace is very charming and beautiful and a must-do for everyone who hasn't slept in one yet! The room was clean and had a private bathroom with hot water for showering. The breakfast was very tasty and eating breakfast on the roof terrace was a unique experience.

PolandWell, the "tea without sugar" is apparently the phrase that doesn't exist there, cause almost every time I asked for it I got it with tons of sugar anyways :D
The staff was super friendly and eager to advise and answer all the questions about the city, they created a great atmosphere in the hotel. The location is amazing, right in the center of Medina, though at the beginning the hotel is a bit tricky to find. The breakfast on the roof tarace was a perfect was to start a day :)
