Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

PortugalNothing really
The Riad has been beautifully and lovingly restored and provides a haven of coolness and peace in a hectic city. It is very well located in a calm and pretty part of the medina, within walking distance to many good restaurants and all the main sights of the medina. But best of all was the warm welcome by the hostess, who went out of her way to make our stay memorable.

Jacqueline; the owner/host is a wonder. With only five rooms to let you really get the feeling that you are home in some exotic land. The rooms are spacious, the location great and breakfasts so special. No pool but spent hours on the roof. A very special place.

The Riad is well located, the area is safe and very close to the Souks. The room was very comfortable and clean. Breakfasts were excellent and plentiful.

Riad Jnane d’Ô as Madame Jacqueline, the owner, an artist, puts it, is her home where she invites her guests. The property is conveniently located; intimate and tastefully decorated with artifacts yet the rooms are spacious. The service is personalized and warm and she goes above and beyond to help you with any requests; arranging free transfers; being flexible with breakfast timings…you name it!

IrelandNot much to be honest. You might find a cheaper place to stay in Marrakech but I doubt you'll find a better one.
We loved staying at Riad Jnane d'O. It's a beautiful place and Jacqueline is a fantastic host who made us feel very welcome. There are lot's of good to things to say about it but perhaps the main one is the location. It's in the Medina but just the right distance from the central square in that you can walk down there easily (10-15 minute walk) but you are far enough away from it to keep the extreme touristy stuff at arm's length too as well. It's got a very neighbourly feel - people will say hello and stop to chat as well. It's also very safe and there is a security guard on duty for the little warren of laneways where the Riad is situated. There are some very nice restaurants nearby that Jacqueline will happily book for you but also some cheap and cheerful eating places that are also excellent - we particularly recommend Restaurant Regue Jamaa which is just around the corner and has great food and a super-friendly owner. There is also a place to get taxis (if you need to travel outside the Medina) about two minutes walk away. Airport shuttle service was brilliant and brought us right to the door of the Riad. I really don't think there is a better neighbourhood to stay in when visiting Marrakech.

IrelandJust a tad too quite for me, which most people would love. If I talked in my normal voice, I would be easily heard throughout the Riad. Found myself whispering most of the time. Also not a great omelette.
Decided to go traditional and stay in a Riad. Jaqueline was a super host and would help you any way she could and the staff were extremely polite. The Riad was very traditional with fantastic Moroccan furniture and accessories. And the place was spotless. In fact if you stood still for too long, you would have got cleaned. The room was large and comfortable and you really felt you were part of Morocco. The breakfast was good, plenty to eat and was typical Moroccan. Delicious fruit, croissants and selection of bread/cakes. Nice coffee which is great as you get sick of the tea after a while. The Riad was located in a very clean, well lit & quite part of the Medina but about 20-25 minute walk to Jemaa El Fna.

NetherlandsThe stay at this Riad was an overwhelming experience. Everything was close to perfection from the first day until the day we left. The warm welcome where a carrier took our luggage and where Jacqueline - the owner - welcomed us with tea and Moroccan cookies, the great decoration and enormous bedroom with lovely bathroom. Every morning a fantastic fresh breakfast with small pancakes, croissants and baguettes. Jacqueline provided us with all kind of suggestions for restaurants, trips and must sees. The location of the Riad is excellent near to the King's palace. I would really recommend this place if you intend to visit Marrakech!

United KingdomJacqueline (hostess) was delightful. She arranged airport pick up and drop off at no extra charge - including a porter with a cart to take the luggage from where the car drops/picks up - which is only a two-minute walk away. The location is perfect as it's central. We found that everything inside the Medina is walkable - no need for taxis, just a good map (which Jacqueline supplied). Breakfast is plentiful (no need for lunch!!) and varied. The fridge was very useful as we bought tonics and enjoyed G&Ts in the courtyard. There's nowhere to buy wine, so if you fancy a pre-dinner snifter, bring it with you.

SpainMarakech is an incredible city and Riad Jnane d'Ô is a haven in the beautiful mayhem of the medina. Peace and tranquility with incredible service. Jacalyn is the perfect hostess making you feel welcome and at home whilst secretly making all the little details that make a perfect break happen. Breakfast was a daily adventure tasting daily surprises of freshly baked pastries , fruit and of course the freshly brewed tea.
