Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesAyoub and Mohammad would wonderful hosts. Extremely helpful with our last second booking. The hospitality they show is above and beyond. They are kind, they want to connect with you, they helped us with late booking, booking extracurricular activities, dining, and even walked us to the square. They speak so many languages, it’s incredible. If you’re looking for somewhere safe, with kind hospitality- look no further than Riad Imilchil!

PortugalIt was a wonderful stay. Me and my family had just arrived from a 10 hour bus trip, from a tour in the Merzouga Dunes in Saara desert, very tired and full of hot (August) and Ayoub welcomed us like family, providing us all confort we needed: simpathy, cool atmosphere, beautiful rooms and courtyard, pool and tea! Thank you Ayoub!

United KingdomThe Internet could be improved upon as it was not that strong in our suite. Perhaps as a result of the location.
I love the Imilchil staff. They're quite lovely, helpful, and made our stay remarkable, especially Ayub and Mohammed. The ambience was lovely, and the breakfasts were served at appropriate temperatures. Meals were good, and all our requests were granted. We felt at home and would visit again.

AustraliaThe transfer from the airport was a bit late, but otherwise everything was perfect!
One of the best things about Riad Imilchil are the staff! Kamal and Ayoub were always available to help us or give us recommendations, always friendly and chatty, and made us feel like family. They are the stars of this Riad!!! The breakfasts and dinner we had were great, the room was comfortable and big, and the location a very nice quiet street a short walk from the busy markets.

The room was spacious and clean and breakfast absolutely delicious. Would 100% recommend this stay and Ayoub, Khalim and Mohamed will take great care of you! My dad got a bit sick and they immediately made rice and verbane tea to help him.

United KingdomNothing. It really was a wonderful stay.
This was like staying at a wonderful home away from home. Our hosts (Mohammed and Ayub) were so welcoming and did everything possible to make our stay fantastic. The chicken tangine that we had at Riad Imilchi was also the best meal throughout our stay in Morocco (better than any restaurant we went to). I would strongly recommend eating in at least once during your stay here.

United KingdomWe had a wonderful, wonderful time here. The location: just a short walk from the souks but in a quieter area (we were glad to escape the craziness and come back here to relax). The staff: Nordin, Ayoub, and Mohamed took such great care of us, it really felt like we had a home in Marrakesh. The value: the riad is simple but well kept and feels like a real guest house. I'd go back here in a heartbeat. The team's hospitality and kindness really turned our stay from good to wonderful.

GibraltarThis is an authentic riad 7 minutes from the Jmaa Square. Located right next to Bahia Palace, this riad has earned all the positive press it has garnered. The images do justice to the property. But what was the clincher? Its owner and staff. Nothing was too much for them. Information, offer to sort out the smallest of details, even drop our group to where the taxis could pick up us at 3 am. Comfortably furnished, best roof terrace, but away from the lights and sound of the Jma el fnaa. Highly recommended

We were made to feel it was a home away from home for us. Nothing was too much trouble for Mohamed and his staff. Kemal was so kind to us throughout our stay. We enjoyed dinner at the Riad a few times and the authentic tagine. The roof terrace is a nice escape from the bustle of the main square 10 minutes walk away. We would like to return.

MoroccoNestled in the heart of Marrakech, this Riad is truly a gem! Despite our late arrival, the warmth and hospitality extended to us were unparalleled. Greeted with genuine smiles, a delightful traditional tea, and scrumptious cookies, our experience began on a high note. The owner, Mr. Mohamed, and his exceptional team redefine hospitality with a perfect blend of friendliness, conviviality, and professionalism. The rooms, reminiscent of a magical 1001 nights, exude beauty and pristine cleanliness, offering a peaceful haven in the midst of bustling Marrakech. Our nights were serene, and the mornings, a delight with a delicious breakfast. An unexpected highlight was the gracious dinner hosted by Mohamed, where we savored the tastiest Tangia in all of Morocco. His kindness was truly touching, especially as we were in Morocco as volunteers for an earthquake relief initiative. This Riad stands out, making us feel instantly at ease, a rare find in the bustling city. Highly recommended for both leisure and business travelers, we are certain to return. Additionally, we look forward to exploring Chateau Imilchil in the High Atlas Mountains on our next visit. A heartfelt thank you to Mr. Mohamed and his team for making our stay unforgettable!
