Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SpainThe Riad was absolutely stunning with such beautiful decor, especially the woodwork/tile work. It was very comfortably organized with such attention to detail. The location was perfect: easy to get to for drop off/pick up of taxi but right in the Medina. The family suite was perfect for a family of 4 and it was gorgeous!! We enjoyed the breakfast every day and we especially loved sitting on the rooftop terrace where we would enjoy the view and some mint tea. The service was excellent; everyone we met was very kind, accommodating and helpful. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend!!

SpainEverything was totally perfect for us for our four-day stay in Fez. We'd really have liked to have stayed a few days longer, that's all – but unfortunately our busy schedule didn't allow for that. The Riad Fes Madaw is alcohol free but that merely added to its authentic charm, and helped to make our stay more healthy!
The location was perfect - in walking distance of the heart of the Medina but far enough to be peaceful at night. The traditional Moroccan style decor (Andalusian tiles, carved plasterwork and painted wooden doors and ceilings) was breathtaking. Our lovely balcony suite contained a comfortable four-poster bed and tiled ensuite bathroom and toilet. The room was spotlessly clean and made up regularly, and when we requested towels not to be changed (for environmental reasons) this request was respected. The supplied cakes of rose-perfumed soap and sachets of shampoo were more than enough for our four-day stay. We had a lovely inner courtyard balcony – perfect for sitting on and planning for our next day's outings while listening to life in the Riad gently going on below us. The staff (headed by Ali, with Iman on breakfasts and Ilyas as an extra evening waiter) were all incredibly friendly and helpful. Ali showed me to a barber's when I needed a haircut and beard trim, and arranged for trousers to be express dry cleaned when required. Also, he organised a driver for the next day when we decided last minute on a trip to Volubilis/Moulay Idriss/Meknes. Breakfast was delicious and filling. The real butter, and the Moroccan goat's cheese we requested, were great. The pancakes, savoury fritters, natural honey, home-style strawberry jam, French-style baguette bread, and red, green and black olives were so tasty. We asked for more savouries and fewer sweet pastries, and our request was speedily addressed. The mint tea was delicious (at breakfast and when we asked for it in the afternoon, also.) We requested coffee at breakfast, too, and this was no problem. We ate dinner at the Riad a couple of times and found the food both wholesome and very flavoursome - like high quality home-cooking. Our vegetarian diet was no problem with vegetarian couscous, soup, vegetarian pie and tagine all on offer.

Czech RepublicMargarine (artificial butter) served with breakfast. Wifi signal could be better inside the room. Repeating music. I recommend more calm and classic music such as oud. (Minor issue, you can just ask Ali to stop music) Shower cover is too short, water was splashing all around, but that's minor issue.
Great location, Ali owner is a very good person! They can serve tea to the terrace (roof top). We also had a lunch inside and it was very good. Breakfasts are good, lots of variety, except for the margarine (artificial butter). I hope they will start serving a good butter. But that's a minor issue. We had a good sleep in the night and during the day.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay! The furnishings were beautiful, the room exceeded my expectations, and the location was perfect. But my biggest compliments are for the staff, who made sure I had everything I needed, arranged for great guides, and treated me like royalty. If I ever return to Morocco, this is where I want to stay.
