Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaBathroom a bit small but workable. We were on the ground floor and some noise travels into the room from people chatting in the central courtyard. Despite that, had a lovely stay.
The Riad seemed newly renovated and everything was clean and comfortable. Lovely large rooftop terrace for breakfast. Staff were friendly and helpful. Wifi worked great. Just a 2min walk from Jemaa Elfnaa, so it’s easy to find your way around.

The stay in Riad was fantastic. The host Abdo and Tariq were patient, hospitable and welcoming. My dad was well taken care of by Abdo and the rest of the staff. I would recommend this Raid without question to anyone as a couple or a family/ solo traveller. The location is very close to the square and lots of food/shopping places. The options on the tv were varied, with apps and international tv channels. The staff also sort out tours at reasonable prices. It is a family friendly places as there were quiet a few of us. the rooftop was nice, and fresh breakfast was enjoyable in the morning. I will be booking this riad again, if i am back in Marrakech !!!

PortugalThe bed was very firm but no an issue, just a personal preference.
It was VERY clean. The staff was wonderful. The young man at the front desk was a pleasure to deal with and super helpful with recommending restaurants and local attractions. Can’t say enough about him! The location is excellent, half block from the main market in the Madina (old town). The traditional breakfast on the rooftop each morning was delicious and included in the price. My wife adds the shampoo and body wash were excellent.

PortugalThe addition of "Hotel" to the Riad's name turns it a bit pricey in terms of quality-cost balance. The room is a bit narrow, although for a 2-people short stay is really fine. The bath door should be reassessed since it allows the water to go out of the baths' area, making everything wet (and slippery) to the room.
Amazing architecture at the Riad and the location was great - 5min walking to the Jema El Fnaa. Very friendly staff. The breakfast at the rooftop was absolutely great, fresh and diverse.

United KingdomI recently stayed at this charming riad located just steps away from Jemaa el Fna square, and it exceeded all my expectations. The location couldn't be better for exploring the heart of Marrakech. The riad itself was impeccably clean and beautifully decorated, offering a serene oasis amidst the bustling streets. The staff were not only professional but also incredibly kind and attentive, making me feel right at home from the moment I arrived. I would highly recommend this hidden gem to anyone visiting Marrakech. Abdo arranged our taxi from the airport to the hotel. Good restaurants recommendation.

United KingdomI wish you could have paid my bill by card. I unwisely exchanged my money at the airport in the UK before leaving and got a terrible rate which I didn't check at the time. I had to pay a further £40 in sterling as I not got enough local currency for the bill when I got there, which seemed madness, seeing how much I exchanged. I used all m money I intended for the trip. I did ask for a receipt for my bill, but didn't get one, therefore I have no idea what exchange they used to get to £40.. Having not slept for 24 hours prior to getting there, I just paid. I took it at face value, but I was not sure, even now I wonder. On saying this, I would stay there again, it was a lovely and friendly place. Next time, I would just be a bit more wiser as to where I exchange my money and in what currency I pay my bill.
I really had an enjoyable stay at the Hotel Riad Chami. its an excellent location. Very clean and beautiful rooms. Abdul the staff member who I saw mainly was extremely helpful, nothing seemed to much trouble for him. The breakfast was nice which was served on the roof garden.

United KingdomIt would be nice to have free bottle water each day.
Riad Chami is clean, tidy and has comfortable beds and pillows. Our room and shower were cleaned each day. There's a nice breakfast at the rooftop. It is very close to the Square. Abdo was very helpful. We arrived at 1:30am and he was there to welcome us. He gave a list of eating places, money exchange and sights to visit around Medina. He's very helpful with all our enquiries.
