Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

JapanWhen I tried to check out, there were no staff in the hotel. I called staff again and again, but no one answered.
The staff allocated us the bigger room than my original booking. The room had one king bed and one single bed. Shower and toilet were located in the same room, but the room had enough space, so it does not matter.

SpainRiad with lots of personality and a friendly vibe. Near a "major" pedestrian street, yet off on a quiet alley way. Comfortable bed. Nice, albeit bread-heavy breakfasts (as seems to be the Moroccan norm). It was nice to have an employee of the property meet us where the airport taxi dropped us off and walk us to the riad.

CanadaThe washrooms had a smell, no towels are provided with the booking, and bedding was not of good quality (also found stains and rips in it but that could be an honest mistake).
Very hospitable and helpful hosts! The location is great as it's right off one of the main roads so you can get there using Google maps and become familiar enough to find your way back even if your phone is dead. Just remember how to get there from bab boujould (blue gate). Note that when you take your luggage to the hotel it'll be downhill but uphill when you go back to the gate. Arrange for assistance accordingly. Breakfast was the standard available in most Moroccan hotels but the baguette was of better quality.

FranceTraditional Moroccon style house. Friendly and caring Hosts (Imad and their Mother). Made us feel like home. Imad’s mother cooked very nice Moroccon food for us. Imad took special care of us as a local guide, arrange transport to chefchouen and also helped us with best place for shopping. More than value for money we were really overwhelmed by the hospitality of Imad and their mother. Highly recommend them.

MalaysiaI instantly felt at home. I arrived on a cold evening and was greeted with hot mint tea, followed by courtesy Harira soup by Mama Najia and extra blanket for the night. Najia was the sweetest - I had the opportunity to not only taste her wonderful cooking (the best tajine I had in my 2 weeks in Morocco), but also be part of the shopping and cooking action, and met her extended family along the way. Her sons, Imad and Hicham, cared only for the best for the guests. I went on a guided tour of old medina with Imad, and it was a very personalized experience. I stayed long enough to experience different sides of Fes (the old, modern, monumental and local parts) - thanks to Imad's recommendations. He not only helped me with bargaining and tips (shopping, food), but also sweet enough to get hold of extra, good quality souvenir upon my request (he has good taste). Overall, it was like a stay with family

United StatesThe shower drainage in my particular room was not working properly and thus the bathroom floor was slippery for hours after a shower.
The hosts of the Riad, especially Hicham, are very wonderful, helpful, and made many things easier. This also felt like a very safe place to stay as a solo female traveler. The staff was cautious to look out for me at night which I very much appreciated!!

GermanyWe loved it all! One suggestion for improvement is to be able to pay directly via Booking.com with our credit card. But this is consistent in all Morocco: most accommodations only take cash, and cash withdrawal is rather challenging even in Marrakech (ATMs don't work, they run out of cash, or they simply don't take Visa, Mastercard or any contactless card despite claiming so). Please come prepared with cash!
The traditional architecture of this riad in the heart of Fes's medina is stunning. Moreover, Imad and his family are the best hosts ever! They not only welcomed us with mint tea and the greatest smile, they were also helpful every time we encountered a problem. For example, we went to an excursion to Chefchaouen quite early in the morning, and before we left, they surprised us with a lunch bag for our excursion! On the day we checked out, we couldn't find our driver that would take us back to Marrakech through the desert. Imad managed to find him and saved the day for us! There are not enough words to show our gratitude! About the riad, it is a cosy architectural jewel, with the most wonderful views over Fes at sunset. The location is perfect (don't forget to download an offline map, as Fes is quite a maze!), and Imad can show you the most iconic places around! We had heating, warm water (both important for the dusty and cold desert winter), our room was beautiful and clean. I would definitely stay there again.

United StatesWhat a wonderful little family-run dar in the Medina. The room was quite comfortable, water was exceptionally hot, and the heating unit worked great during our winter stay. Imad was incredibly helpful, and had fantastic recommendations for restaurants. He even helped us make reservations. We booked a tour of the Medina with him and I’d highly recommend doing the same. He’s very knowledgeable and knows all the best places to have an authentic experience. His mom makes a wonderful breakfast that was served between 8:30-9. We’d go back again and again.

United KingdomWe were made to feel right at home as soon as we arrived. The city can be quite overwhelming but as soon as we were welcomed into the Riad, everything was perfect. It is a family run place and they are all absolutely wonderful. From the amazing breakfasts, to Imad’s walking tour, to Badr taking us to wherever we needed to go to make sure we’d didn’t get lost, the family go above and beyond to make sure you have a great stay in Fez. We can’t recommend this place enough. The views from the rooftop are spectacular, the room was huge, the breakfast was delicious and the family are so kind and helpful. Best hospitality we’ve ever had. 10000% recommend staying here for an authentic experience in Fez.

IrelandOur stay at Medina Sky in Fez was fantastic! From arrival to departure, the team, including Imad, Najia, and Balaid, provided exceptional care. The Riad's central location in the medina made exploring easy. A highlight was Najia's deliciously prepared dinner. Additionally, Balaid organized local taxis for our convenience, ensuring seamless travel to and from the CTM bus station. Highly recommend this Riad for a memorable experience!

United StatesSo to preface, this is still a perfect review because everything was so well done and handled that I had a great time. For bad things, bed could be more comfortable I guess. One of our rooms had a small roach appear, unclear where it came from but maybe they left the water drainage thing open. The water smell mentioned earlier is a didn't like too but I don't think you can help that.
It was really nice! Hicham helped take care of our group of 6 from beginning to end. He's a licensed tour guide so we took his offer to do a tour and with 6 people it was a third of the price compared to the similar tour we booked earlier on TripAdvisor. We also went with his reference for a blue city day tour, it was really cheap for a 6 person van and the driver connected us with a tour guide for city spots He also helped us with our bags, going anywhere in the Medina, doing laundry, and local recs. He helped negotiate pricing for leather jackets (all tours in this area go through some local shopping areas for leather/oil/etc. where you have the option to buy anything, but he helps to make sure they aren't too pushy or giving you a really bad price. He even coordinated tailoring for the jackets when it didn't fit perfectly and delivered it there and back for us. He also helped with last minute plan changes and requests. The breakfast was also amazing given the price we're paying. It was so much food and it was so good. At the end we also last min forgot to return a key and offered to mail or pay for a replacement and he took care of it for free. Honestly it was such a nice experience, he takes care of everything for you. Rooms themselves are pretty basic. We had a double, a triple, and a twin room and they're all similar with slight better views in some, but you can go to the rooftop where we eat to see views anyway. The water has a slight smell that seems to be a Fes thing and not a hostel thing. There's a cap on the water supplies so the smell stays dormant so it's not much of an issue. Beds are decent, prices are amazing for everything through him. They made us really feel at home and it was better than the hotels we stayed at in Rabat. I would definitely stay here again. It was less sketch and way more friendly than any hotel around and such a good experience.

MoroccoI would not have changed one thing about how this place operates. Selfishly, I would like it to remain a "hidden gem" but for the owner's sake I do hope to see it grow its marketing and put itself front at center as a prime riad within the Medina.
Medina Sky is a hidden gem located in the perfect spot within the Fes Medina. All of the best shopping, eating, and cultural sites are literally a few steps away. This family run business takes great care to provide a clean, comfortable, quiet, and loving "home". The owner is a young entrepreneur who pays attention to every detail, every individual need, and is in constant communication if needed. This will be my place in Fes whenever I return here.

MalaysiaThe host and owner are all in the family business. Warm hospitality and welcome. His brother shows us the way to the restaurant. His mom kindly helped us with the laundry, Everything they do is to make sure you had a great time , we missed fes very much. We also booked his mom dinner, it is the best morocco meal we had in 8 days trip. I would think his mom should open a restaurant to let more people taste the authentic morocco meal. The design of riad is by the owner himself, very well design. Recommended to stay here. We had fabulous time, thank you .
