Shower in the bathroom was a little bit broken so the stream was sometimes strong, sometimes weak, and also after you take a shower, all the bathroom is really wet.

The riad was located in medina very close to main sights. Owner of the riad was very helpful and hospitable, as well as the receptionist - they always helped us with our issues, for example the last night when we realized we have to print our boarding passes. We also had very tasty breakfasts made by their amazing housekeeper Marian. The room was very comfortable and big, with huge comfortable beds, so we slept very well. It was also possible to sit on the roof of riad, where it is amazing view of the city. I strongly recommend this riad, especially because of hospitability of all the staff. We will definitely come back in the future :)

I think it a very good way to be immersed in the medioeval district of the Medina, with support.

The room where I was in the second night was simpler than the first on ground floor and with some items damaged. Essential things, including beds and shower were perfectly ok.

First time for me in a Riad, I was very happy to see the internal arrangement around the small courtyard of this traditional architecture. Great support from Ali, who helped me reach the Riad accompanying me and helping with the luggage. The Medina is a very complex network of streets, so help by Ali was fundamental to find my way to and from the Hotel. He suggested a few key places to be seen in the Medina and a loop to connect them with a walk. He was also available by phone in case I needed help in my navigation, which did not happen. He also suggested a few craftsmen who showed me the making process of tanning and of crafting pottery and mosaics (quite amazing hand work). No pressure to buy, I choose anyway a few items to bring back, there and in others shops that I visited independently. The Riad decoration is beatiful. I was served a nice breakfat on the terrace, full of flowers, well shaded and with a view to the entire Medina. One of the best moments of the visit. Next (literally) door there is a restaurant offering traditional moroccan food and with a terrace too. Reasonable price and good food.

A hidden gem with the friendliest staff who will do everything to make you feel at home.

This place is a hidden gem! I stayed for a whole week and I LOVED it. Ali, the hotel manager, is the friendliest, sweetest man, and he went above and beyond to make me enjoy my time there and make me feel at home. Every evening when I returned, I felt like I was going home. He waited for me to arrive from the airport and walked with me to the Riad inside the medina, which was great, because I would have never found it otherwise. He also walked with me to the venue I had to go to on the first day, and he walked with me to the tanneries to find a good place to enter. The Riad itself is super charming, with a small but charming Moroccan courtyard, two levels of roof terraces, and it has the typical Moroccan patterns and tiles throughout, as well as beautifully decorated doors and ceilings. My room was small, but had everything I needed, and it had a lovely bathroom with again the typical Moroccan tiling. Don't expect a five star hotel though, and you will love it. Every morning, Ali and his colleague serve a lovely home cooked Moroccan breakfast with mint tea, juice, harcha (Moroccan semolina bread), mlewi (a flatbread/pancake), olives, bread, jam, and cheese. I also met Abdul, the owner, who was also very kind, and who got me some coffee on the day that I was leaving and was waiting for my taxi. The Riad also organizes airport transfers; the price is good, and on both occasions I had the same driver, who was kind and a calm driver. The Riad is located inside the old medina, and is super close to all kinds of places of interest such as the tanneries, museums, and multiple Madrasas. Lastly, the restaurant next to the Riad is also highly recommended; I had the best classic Moroccan chicken with olives and lemon there.

The location is good, in the old Medina, close to the tanneries. But bear in mind that to reach the Blue Gate, where there are more shops and cafes, is a 15-20 min walk up.

The receptionist Ali is very kind and helpful (without being so insistent like is common in Fes). He even made a call to help us solve an issue with the car rental. Plus, the common area is very beautiful, breakfast is good and everything was clean and comfortable. The restaurant besides it (same owner) is delicious.

We had a great time at Riad El Blida! The place is beautiful and cozy, we were lucky to get an upgrade to the deluxe blue room which was spacious and stylish. The terrace is big and with great views and the breakfast was nice. Above all, the real gem of this place was our host Mr. Ali who went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable as possible. He helped with all sort of things, such as printing our tickets, getting a taxi at good price early in the morning, and was always happy to provide information and help. Big thanks for being such a wonderful host and kind man. We will definitely come back!

The staff was wonderful, they made me feel at home in barely 4 days. Probably the best breakfast in the whole of Morocco I had during my whole stay. The wifi connection was very good, the terrace had wonderful views, and it was really cool to work from there in the evenings as the temperature was a bit cooler. It was a lovely stay and if I am ever again in Fez, I will definitely stay at Riad El Blida.

The rooms are very cold (December). I recommend giving extra blankets or some kind of heating. The mattress I slept on was very hard, a bit uncomfortable. The area feels sketchy for a woman at night. Luckily there is a restaurant 10 meters away, they serve great food.

The hosts are the most hospitable, lovely people I could wish for. You feel like family the moment you walk in the door. The hostel is amazing. It was renovated recently and it looks gorgeous. Extremely clean and with a great terrace. Wi-Fi is good, but could be better! Thanks Abdul for walking me to the taxi station, thanks Ali for your kindness and Karim was also very nice to me, he owns a shop close-by. From my understanding you are all brothers, you made me feel like a sister :)

The only thing against it is that it is very hard to find, to the extent that it doesn't even have a sign above the door! It really is as though you're coming into someone's house. It's in the heart of the v labyrinthine Fes Medina and you NEED a map which includes the street that it's on (it is just off Blida), or you simply would not be able to find it. Really you need e.g. google maps on your phone or a specialist map of the Medina.

The riad is ridiculously good value for money, at least in my experience. I ended up paying £6 for a spacious ensuite double room including the very impressive breakfast (although this was winter time). Room had tonnes of character, as did the whole place, staff were friendly and helpful although the owner is quite reserved, and don't be afraid to take up his offer of the unmarked restaurant next door (seemingly someone's house). I can definitely recommend it; good food at very reasonable prices.

No signs giving the way to hostel. The neighbourhood is not very safe, if you decide to walk the streets around the hostel in the afternoon or evening you must be prepared that you might be 'attacted' by local people that want money from you. Although finally I wasn't robbed, but this was not a pleasent situation.

Hostel is located in the traditional-fashioned riad, which is interesting to see itself. The room was comfortable and the bathroom was clean. Personel is friendly and helpful. Another plus is a beautiful terrace on the roof with great view over the city.

There is absolutely nothing I didn't like about this place. Only the fact that I had to fly home and couldn't stay longer

Gushy review alert! This is a real treasure. Warm, generous and genuine staff, stunning building, comfortable beds, great showers, great breakfast and all right in the heart of the old Medina. You walk straight out into the narrow, winding, atmospheric streets of the old Medina - one of the most enchanting places I've ever been. I felt so lucky to end up staying here and won't ever forget the beauty, the kindness and the genuine hospitality I was shown here. I was already looking forward to it before I even arrived. The room I had booked looked beautiful, as did the riad in general. The staff were incredible from the moment I made contact with them, responding immediately to my whatsapp messages and ensuring my safe and easy arrival and check in. They then surprised me by upgrading me to a much bigger room with sofas and an ensuite bathroom. What I had booked was already extremely good value for money but this was just next level. It was again beautiful and spacious, the bed was comfortable as were the sofas and the shower was hot with a big head (best shower I've had in a couple of weeks). The breakfast was delicious and healthy and eaten in a pretty and cosy communal area where I had some lovely conversations with fellow guests. The staff were so kind and attentive to all of us, constantly checking if there was anything we needed, organising tours for us, bringing tea, asking about our day. It's a great spot to start exploring the Medina. Off you're even considering staying here, book it. It'll probably be one of the best you've ever stayed at!

The toilette and the shower are a bit outdated, but this is a minor issue you won’t notice.

The owner and his employee Mehdi really love their job and will help you in many different ways. Mehdi helped me with organising the transfer to the airport, planning my walk through the sightseeing attractions of Fes and was very tolerant in terms of ways of payment. He also made nice traditional breakfast for me. The location is very convenient, you can find it using famous tanneries as an orientation mark, just don’t miss the final turn to the tiny pathway. The parking lot is very close so you can arrive and depart from there, and there is also a very nice restaurant with complex options nearby. But what you should value the most is the attitude of the staff of this wonderful place. Will come back for sure!
