Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe shower was really bad.
Nice area in Marrakesh near the metal worker ateliers, still in the Medina but quieter. Great to use the kitchen and the room is very spacious. The shower didn't really work, hardly any water came out. We also had difficulty communicating with the person who gave us the keys - she wanted 200 dinar for tourist tax although it was only 100... She was friendly though.

NetherlandsStay far away from this hotel! So, I was looking for a budget option near the square, and at first, the host seemed nice. He even helped me out with a problem I had. But once I got settled, things went downhill. The shower and toilet were quite gross, I found the room was disorganized to my taste, and very late some nights, and I barely slept those nights. I had to keep the windows open because it was too hot otherwise. But the real kicker was the last day. I asked if I could check out at 1 pm, but they said no and I had to leave by 12 (Okay, understandable). But when I got back to my room with plenty of time to spare, the owner was annoyed with me. And when I tried to take a quick shower before my long flight back, he got visually upset and verbally frustrated with me. It was like just because he had gotten paid for my stay, he couldn't care anymore. By this time I had even already cleared the room with my luggage, I felt really unwelcome and uncomfortable. Plus, I wasn't allowed to stay in the common area to hang out after check-out before I headed to the airport, it felt like the owner didn't seem to care at all about making guests feel comfortable. Despite saving some cash, unfriendly encounter the owner, the cleanliness issues, the noise, and the very slow WiFi made it not worth it at all. Oh, and the host warned me about safety issues in the area, which just added to the stress. Looking back, I wish I'd spent a bit more for a nicer place. If you're thinking about staying here, don't bother. Spend a little extra for somewhere better and having a more enjoyable stay in Marrakech. Despite enjoying my time in Marrakech, I wouldn't stay here again if you paid me!
It was close to the main square and Bahia Palace.

United StatesThe host and her father robbed me. I got there. They would not let me stay and took my money. I have written a booking several times. They said a friend of theirs asked to stay and that he paid for more nights. The host then called his dad. He came saying to give him 500 dollars, their currency. He would get him a new room. When I told him no, I paid online, he then would not give me my money or allow me to stay at the hotel! I had to rush to find a new hotel in this strange country. THEY STILL HAVE NIT REFUNDED ME 15 DAYS LATER! The boys outside their door would demand money in a pile when you’re a woman traveling alone, so I got robbed and double cheated by these folks !

LithuaniaIt was not easy to find it. Map showed us different street, there were no signs or name on the door. As it's a private house and they just started business few month's ago before we stayed, maybe later there will be some signboard or smthng. Wifi was very poorelly working, morning time from 6am. neighbours started to break the wall in front of our window. (House in front suffered from earquake and needed reconstruction, that's why they were breaking the wall, but would be nice not from 6am. :) ) First day electricity was off and we couldint charge phones till afternoon. Went to shower with the candle lights (which actually was very nice, so that was not a big problem).Over all it's worth the money :)
The owner was very friendly and helpful. Place is looking very authentic and beautiful. Decorative tiles, colors etc. Bed was comfortable and the location is not far from main bazar and aprox. 5min by walk from the main square. In picture you can see my husband siting with authentic barberian clothes in living room of the property. :)

MoroccoThis is a swindler hotel. This address is not a hotel at all, and the phone call is also unavailable. I had to book another hotel. The swindler merchant took a long time to reply, but they continue to cheat and refuse to refund. Please don't be fooled. This is a fake address, and this is a swindler hotel
