Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomQuality of food at dinner was poor, even though candle light was beautiful.
Romantic, rustic vibe. We found a secret room off our bathroom! Candlelight is beautiful. Watching the stars from the terrace at night was unforgettable. Candle-lit breakfast was a first. Beautiful!

United StatesThe outlets in our room did not work they only worked in the bathroom. Besides this, loved existing by candlelight for a night.
The location is beautiful! You have to walk a fair amount and the most efficient way to get to the kasbah is by walking on rock across a small river, but it added to the adventure. We live in NYC so going somewhere remote and quiet was really refreshing. The space is beautiful and it's very comfortable for lounging and hanging out. In the evening everyone stayed outside and the staff played guitar while everyone looked at the stars and it was just a really lovely experience.

BelgiumFor people who are not so mobile it is not so easy to reach the Kasbah as you have to park your car on the other side of the river. This was not an issue for us so we can not tell whether the owners offer a service to help you with that, for sure they have because they are very helpful.
The Kasbah is one of the oldest in Marrakech. You feel like going back in time. Electricity is scarce and so you room is lighted up with candles, so is the dinner place. It makes the stay even more a fairy tale. the family that runs the Kasbah is restoring it bit by bit but they are making it a magnificent place. Dinner was typical and very good and breakfast was amazing on the terrace facing the Palm trees. They offer horse riding. You have an amazing sunrise and sunset from the rooftop or from the hill very close to the Kasbah. The surroundings are breathtaking.

United KingdomThis is a wonderful and magical place. It is like being transported back in time. It is an old family home which is carefully and lovingly being restored. It is candlelit so it makes for a very unique experience. This is coupled with Mohammeds friendly and honest welcome that makes sure you are comfortable. It is also hasslefree and you aren’t being pushed for anything. Dinner was also very good. The location is excellent and you stay in the historical city itself. A memorable experience. Best visited during slightly less hot months as there is no fan or A/C. Do stay here as it is very different!

PolandIt’s like time capsule, 4 centuries old, no electricity, candle light. When you arrive late night and cross the dry river, it is like entry to time of caravans. And the hospitality of the owner, loved to chat together. If you are looking for something more than just a casual hotel, that’s the place.

Hong KongThe major feature of this hotel is that there is no electricity: so not only no light, but also no air conditioner. Our travel was in late May so the room is very hot even during night time. Even the outdoor temperature was lower at night, , indoor could still be hot. It would be better to travel in a cooler season, or be ready to bring along portable fan. Otherwise, there is not much inconvenience: there is light in bathroom, can charge the phone from socket in the room, and WiFi in common area.
Staying in an old Kasbah with candle lights around, vibe is unbeatable, like traveling back in time. Exceptional experience. Diner of chicken and vegetable tagine is so delicious that even my picky eating toddler was enjoying. Location is great, walking around the old Kasbah area in late afternoon is relaxing and comfortable.

United StatesThe booking page is clear that you'll need to pay for extras in cash on arrival (dinner etc.), but I somehow did not digest the fact that you also have to pay the complete cost of your room onsite in cash. We had enough dirhams to do so, but it took us by surprise. Just be sure you have enough cash to pay for your room, dinner, tips etc. before you cross the river.
We absolutely loved Kasbah Tebi - cannot imagine seeing Ait Benhaddou any other way, it was a highlight of our trip to Morocco. Dinner by candlelight was lovely, and our room was so dreamy. We arrived mid-day, and called the staff at Kasbah Tebi using the wifi at a cafe in town across the river, and they promptly sent over a porter on motorbike to help with our luggage. We followed our luggage across the river bed, entered through the ancient unesco site archway, and arrived at Kasbah Tebi with a warm welcome. After a cup of tea, we went out to explore. Being able to settle back into our lodging without leaving the site, while all the other tourists had to cross the river to continue on their journey or stay in town was quite a perk. It felt as though we had the place to ourselves for sunset. Don't even question it, stay here if you plan to visit Kasbah Tebi.
