Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United Kingdomoften guys with a dog nearby wanting to sell you hash but they dont seem aggressive or pushy at all, i know people who did buy and they didnt have any problems, other than maybe 'tourist prices'
Amazing Riad, i returned here because of the staff and location. Easy to meet other tourists and i didnt once feel like my bags or belongings were unsafe in the room. They have small safes for passports/wallets/cameras too if you want the peace of mind. Rooftop is huge and a great vibe. Good breakfast and amazing coffee. Nice and close to a taxi rank and about 5 mins walk to Jemaa El Fna.

IrelandThe only thing which could be better - water in showers - sometimes pressure is low, or water is cold. At summer it's not a big deal but could be way better to have it :)
It was my second visit to this hostel, love it! Everything was great 👍 Many thanks to the stuff for cleanliness, breakfasts, taxi booking, and good vibe overall :) Met interesting people there, its a good social place.

CanadaIt can get a bit loud at night since it is an open roof. The showers and toilets are a bit dirty and run down but work fine. The storage lockers are somewhat small and can barely fit a laptop inside.
Stayed for one night only but it was great. The location is good and near the city centre. There is good food nearby and the hostel itself is very large and has an open roof design.

United StatesThe bathrooms could have been better or more plentiful. The beds aren’t comfortable but that’s not what I stayed here for.
Nice vibe, lots of spaces to hang out in and be social - different sofa areas, various rooftop spaces. It’s also in a great location.

The place embodies the charm of Marrakech. The interiors, the art pieces etc. are all too magnetic. You can make friends for a lifetime here. And the staff is the friendliest in the world.

Ireland- some shower cabins don't have space for cloth - water in showers not always hot (but you can try shower in another floors) - safe lockers don't look safe))) but actually i didn't have to use it as only guests had access to hostel and all was good while i was there for 11 days (stuff open a door for you every time to make sure no random people are coming in)
- Stuff is very good, friendly, helpful, always available. - Good vibe there :) - Cosy design, terraces - Breakfast included - Location is very close to main Square/Bazar - Clean - Price - Cat Kus-kus))

MoroccoThe bathroom (upstairs) has seen better days, but was better compared to most other hostels in the city! It did its job. The amount of toilets and showers was surprisingly nice! Enough facilities allowed for little to no waiting time!
The staff is absolutely lovely. Very friendly, always willing to help (for free, which is a nice change of pace in Marrakech) and they set a nice and positive example. It is in the end a hostel so you are bound to meet others. The staff facilitates this by creating an open atmosphere!

United KingdomI got salmonella poisoning on the very last day from an undercooked egg. Didn't happen before and I think I was a niche case but shame it occurred.
The company was amazing, staff friendly and the dorm area was cleaned daily, a bonus. The terrace at the top had plenty of space to chill and just take in Marrakech from above. Location was impeccable too, not too far into the Medina but still central.

Great staff and very beautiful ambiance. I was there just after the earthquake, it's safe and nothing to worry about in the old medina. Not far from hamam zyani where you can take a taxi and it's close to jamaa fna.
