The property is exquisitely beautiful, comfortable and so very accommodating. The food was divine and the staff perfect. There are truly not words to describe this Dar-it is the perfect Fes experience!!!

Charming riad with absolutely wonderful staff. Their recommendations for restaurants (in addition to the delicious dinner by Dar Roumana’s chef), as well as for a guide in the medina and a driver, Redouane, who showed us important sites outside the medina, were excellent. We’d recommend Dar Roumana without hesitation to ourvery best friends.

Dar Roumana is a beautiful riad with modern amenities and friendly staff. Breakfasts were delicious and afternoon tea as well. The rooms were very large and well equipped, with beautiful showers. We enjoyed our experience and the staff helped arrange an airport pickup with transportation by porter to the riad late at night.

I absolutely love the room - I stayed in the yasmina room and felt like a princess - one of my favorite rooms ever. Also one particular staff member I forgot his name but was super attentive to what I needed in regards to breakfast to go and made sure was ready for me before my tour and exactly what I asked for and even better - super attentive and good follow through and communication! Great stay

It doesn't have great air con or facilities such as coffee making facilities, but don't go here if that's what's important to you. A little pool on the roof would be perfect but it would make it a lot more expensive I expect.

Stunning building, lovely outdoor space and beautiful room. In particular the staff were truly special; they were warm and helpful, came to meet the taxi and the manager even queued at the train station to buy our tickets to Rabat as the website was confusing. Please don't expect the poor man to do that every time though!

Our room with the terrace needs a more powerful or newer AC. It was very hot and the AC was not cooling enough. Minor upgrades in the breakfast would be nice (local honey wasn’t available)

Room was very beautiful and large. Staff was excellent. Having drinks on the rooftop in the evening was a pleasure. Dinner is not to be missed!

This is an absolutely spectacular property and the staff are amazing and the location is easy to orient to in this maze of a Medina! This was the best place we stayed on our whole trip-like staying in a historical luxury monument!

The riad is beautiful, our room was very pretty, decorated with taste and typical furniture. The terrace is also nice, we enjoyed the sun up there. The only thing we were a bit disappointed with was the food: the dinner is too pricey for what it is, and the breakfast could definitely be better for what you pay to stay at this riad.

At an extra cost we arranged a transfer to the train station for our departure. The driver did not show at the specified time and there was no one at the reception at the hotel. We were lucky to make our train. The menu for dinner was limited and unchanged for the two nights we were there.

The room was huge with a double shower. he furnishings were also very nice. The room looked out onto the central court, as in many Riads. The manager arranged for a guided tour of Fes, which was very good. Breakfast was very good, as was the restaurant for dinner. This is important since Fes at night can be a bit shady.

The stairway to our bathroom was steep and narrow.

Beautiful historic romantic. Dinner not too traditional; experimental twists. Really nice breakfast. Staff fantastic. Clean. Rather quiet.

There was no possibility to make tea/coffee (or any other drink) in the evenings. Also no fridge in the room, or any possibility to get a drink anywhere else in the hotel. There is no café or shop nearby to buy drinks. This may be because it was low season (we were the only guests most of our stay)

We had an incredible stay at Dar Roumana. Our room and the terrace were so nice that we had to work to make ourselves go out and explore Fez rather than simply luxuriating at the Dar. The staff also made us feel incredibly welcome, whether that was by bringing us lettuce along with our breakfast so that we could feed the tortoise or lighting a fire in the lounge when we were there working.

At our age ( over 70) the flights of stairs to reach the rooms were punishing. But there is no solution to this problem as the Riad is designed around the central courtyard with steep stairs to all upper areas.

The restaurant served delicious evening meals. The breakfast was very good. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. The Riad is beautifully restored in traditional Moroccan style. The bed was first class.

Riad was very beautiful and my room too, lots of room there. And a view from the roofbalcony was exceptional. Reception was polite and formal. Breakfast was so good and served with lovely lady. Lots of deep steps there to room, to balcony even inside your room you need to take steps to go to bathroom. So cannot recommended to people with knee problems.
