Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe Riad was plush with nice furniture and design. The location is excellent, next to Jamaa el-Fnaa with lots of eating places and shopping. The breakfast is excellent which included freshly squeezed orange juice.

New ZealandThis is my fault: I should have stayed longer and do more of their recommended tours.
Dar Najat is an oasis of calm and relaxation in midst the hectic heart of Marrakech. The location is superb and you can run around in the souks but you're never far away from your happy place - which for me was the Dar Najat. Everyone who works there has made it their mission to make your day special. I was stressed out when I finally arrived as the passport control at the airport had required a two hour wait, but I felt instantly better at my new home away from home in Marrakech. I have never come across a place where they even have a simcard waiting for you so you're connected when you start exploring the city. The breakfast is lovely and you're very flexible chosing a time that suits you. On my departure day I had to leave early so they gave me an entire coffee machine and fruits and snacks so I was ready to go refreshed on the next part of my journey. The accommodation itself is quiet, with efficient air conditioning and lovely, thoughtful decor. The beds mattress is on the harder side of the spectrum which suited me.. I loved the attention to detail and the commitment to service from all staff members - e.g. every day they decorated my bed with the towels differently and they paid attention to what I liked. They were also just great people - I loved chatting with the owner who felt like a friend I just hadn't met before. The kitchen staff were also lovely and always made me smile with their great sense of humour.. The tour I did upon recommendation was fun and I recommend to others to go to the Berber market for a truly local, non-touristy experience. Thanks for an amazing time! Hope we meet again!

United KingdomRoom was a bit dark and without lots of free space ( I like to exercise and work in my room, so if you want to spend any day time in the room it was't ideal) and bed could be more comfy
Breakfast was amazing, staff were super helpful and lovely and I really enjoyed the location. I was travelling by myself and felt safe walking alone in the surroundings and welcomed by their team

United KingdomNothing - the property, staff and facilities were amazing!
The staff were very friendly, especially Mido. The property was situated in a really great location and Mido’s recommendations were amazing. He went out of his way to help us organise our days and plan what to visit. He personally took us to a spa for hammam and massage as well as booked us in for a camel + quad bike course with his contacts. The property also have a cute dog named Vladsko who comes at nights and is extremely friendly with guests. Their breakfast exceeds expectations and is very filling. Their jacuzzi was also really pleasant to spend time in!

The staff here are amazing, we have never experienced service like this even in 5* hotels. We were met by the host on the first night who told us what we needed to know about Marrakesh. After being picked up from the airport (I recommend this for a small fee), we were then treated to a Moroccan dinner, which was amazing. The staff were so kind, helpful, and really made our stay memorable. I had issues with my phone data - no problem for the staff who sorted me out with a sim card, and then data renewal. I recommend getting a Moroccan SIM card as it’s so cheap! They provide beer and wine at the Riad too, which was a nice bonus for us as it allowed us to have a quiet drink at night and look at the Moroccan night sky! We also wanted to get a Henna tattoo, and the sister of one of the staff was a specialist! After the breakfast (again - this is also amazing), we got our Henna! Such a great experience - staying at the Riad made our stay such an easy one. It is near Un Déjeuner à Marrakech where you can get an incredible cous cous dish or just go for a beer. Stay here for a memorable time!

United KingdomThe only negative is that the bed was a little hard but that didn't stop us from having great night sleeps as it's so quiet here, and the room felt homely from the second we entered.
If you are going to Marrakech you MUST stay here!! Ahmed met us at the taxi and carried our bags for us, guiding us to the Riad. He then sat with us on the terrace for about an hour, with tea and a map, showing us all the best spots in the city. He put us at ease immediately with his kindness and gentle manner. Later we met Midou who was equally as friendly, warm and hospitable. In the morning we met Isam who is on the breakfast shift. We never usually make hotel breakfasts as we like to sleep in late on holiday, so when we went up for a coffee at approx 11:30am, we were so grateful to find Isam and his friendly face and great sense of humour serving us the most incredible breakfast- Moroccan crepes, pancakes, eggs, fruit, jams, you name it, they have it! Probably the best breakfast's we've ever had!! The cleaning staff were all so lovely too, which great energy and beautiful smiles! The Riad is so peaceful, and the location is brilliant; it's in the Medina but it's on a quiet street which makes you feel very safe and calm. I cannot recommend this Riad enough, we would love to return! We are so grateful to the wonderful Ahmed and his team for the best experience here.
