Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GermanyThere is a bad smell on and off on the terrace but probably specific to the environment. Medina Fez I would not recommend for its beauty but as an interesting and unique place.
Location directly in Medina close to main objectives. Good breakfast. Nice roof top terrace. The host Mourad was very nice and helpful with any questions and requests like restaurants recommendation, exchange, sightseeing etc. His personal involvement in the business is obvious and valuable as Medina Fez is not easy to get around.

United StatesThe location is in the old medina, which has its pros and cons. The good part is that it's close to everything you'll likely want to do there. But the medina is quite a maze, and so it takes a while to learn how to find your bearings.
The manager was very attentive without being intrusive. A truly nice person, he gave us many tips about navigating the medina, places to eat, and things to see. We also had a share of conversation that was more akin to that of friends than pure business. We learned a lot about Moroccan life in general from him.

United StatesWe were really enjoyed our stay here. The property is amazing and has a roof with the views of Fes. The breakfast was amazing. Mourad did the outstanding job by meeting us at the parking lot and explaining us about the city sightseeing. The room was huge and the doors are the original woods. Please be aware it is a tricky way to get to the riad through tunnels but very safe and Mourad was always answering and helping and he will take care of you and make sure you are not lost. Overall, amazing property, amazing host and the location is unbeatable.

EVERYTHING…. From the moment Murat greeted us at the Parking lot and led us through the maze… to stepping into the Dar was just magnificent. He and the staff was so sincere and guided us through our stay. This has been such a special experience so I highly recommend this Dar and the staff which makes you feel at home.

GermanyThe green and orange rooms have beautiful but a bit dangerous stairs inside the rooms. This should be noted in the room description.
The riad is very family friendly. Kids could play over the many levels and had a lot of fun. Food was excellent. The rooms were great and beautiful, with many nice details like warm covers. The staff was very friendly and responded fast to our requests. We already have been to great and expensive riads in Fes and although this riad is simpler in its architecture, the experience was so good that it is now our favourite in Fes.

We had a perfect stay with our family in the Riad Dar Faracha, the place is nicely decorated, very comfortable, quiet with a nice rooftop terrasse to enjoy the end of the day. More importantly the staff and especially Mourad made it exceptional, super nice and always keen to go the extra mile to organize restaurant, trip, hamman reservation, and share good tips and information. We highly recommend

JapanMourad made our stay at Faracha Fes so memorable & comfortable. He went way beyond our expectations and thanks to his advice and help, we really enjoyed our stay in Fes. He is one of the highlights of our Morocco trip, and we wished we could stay longer at Faracha Fes. Highly recommend this facility (the narrow path to the hotel is def a bonus)!!

New ZealandA homely riad in the medina, which was a nice and cool escape from the heat and hustle and bustle outside. Mourad was a fantastic hotel manager who took incredibly great care of us during our stay in Fes which we sincerely appreciated. He speaks English and French fluently (Spanish too) and really looks after his guests at the riad. He truly goes above and beyond to ensure all his guests have a great stay and feel safe too. We feel very fortunate to have met him during our travels. There is also a very cute pet tortoise at Dar Faracha who we enjoyed interacting with each day. Housekeeping staff are all lovely and friendly people too. With Mourad taking care of Dar Faracha, you're in great hands.

It’s a lovely riad in the middle of some super narrow streets; you can’t hardly believe there will be something there! It’s full of charm and providing some quiet and relaxed environment after getting lost in lovely Fez. Above all, the hotel manager, Mourad, is a great professional that goes out of his way to accomodate your needs. He’s kind, responsive and very helpful at all times. Thanks, Mourad; you’ll stay in our memory of these lovely trip.

SpainWe had a great 7-day stay in Fes and Mourad was part of it being so great. Very attentive, always ready to help, proposing activities for the day and encouraging us to discover a more authentic Morocco. The Riad is in a quiet part of town, and it's a good place to relax after the frenetic activity of the medina.
