Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

BelgiumThe building itself is rather old and not too well sound-proofed. Bathroom was clean, but shower was rather small. Parking is pretty expensive with 25 euro per night.
The property is very well located, most tourist attractions are within walking distance. The room was clean and looked as if it had been recently renovated. Bed was comfortable. Staff was friendly, on-site parking available

United KingdomMy requests were not met. Instead of a queen bed I was given 2 twins. This was very uncomfortable as the beds separated in the night and I fell in the crack. The pillows were very uncomfortable. I could hear the people above me through the ceiling and it was loud and annoying.
The room was clean. The bathroom was spacious. It’s a short walk from all there is to see in the city.

NetherlandsWhilst breakfast is fine, I would nit recommend going for dinner in the restaurant.
The rooms are nice, clean and comfortable, apart from the shower which leaks a lot of water onto the bathroom floor.

United KingdomWe had to move the car on check out and because we had got caught in traffic we didn’t arrive until late. This meant that we didn’t get to take advantage of the great location.
We were close to the city centre.

LuxembourgThe electric kettle has a very short lead and connecting it to a power outlet was a nuisance. This is the first hotel I've come across where there were no slippers supplied. Perhaps a couple more bottles of water in the fridge would be nice.
The room is very spacious and the ground floor balcony was a nice bonus.

NetherlandsThe only limitation of the hotel is the parking availability, which understandably means a charge for the parking although discounted for guests, thankfully I have a small car and managed to park as to not block the road however larger vehicles may struggle here.
The location is ideal. Everything in the centre is in walking distance and we were also surround by parks and greenery this made for a very easygoing weekend away, the staff were lovely and the room had everything we needed, would stay here again.

NetherlandsFor the price we paid it would be nice if breakfast was included. It is offered for 21 EUR which I think is ridiculous. The building is not in the best state and there was a large spider web in the hallway, could be a bit cleaner.
Good location, 15 minute walk to the city centre and train station. Beds are very comfortable. Room is big enough. It has everything you need.

United KingdomThe reception is confusing when arriving on foot, you have to walk round the back of the hotel through the car park to find the reception and then it was sign posted as a different hotel. The hotel felt a little tired, and could do with some TLC.
The Hotel is in a great location for exploring Luxembourg city, with buses and trams a short walk away.

United Statesif you don't put the "I'm sleeping sign" on the door, you'll get housekeeping banging on the door at 830am. then you'll hear nothing but nearby doors slamming for the next hour. Almost seems like a passive aggressive mother telling me to wake up and get out. Not sure why you'd have a noon checkout and then do that, but what do I know. it would be nice if there was an available plug at the desk and at the bed so I could plug in a phone charger / laptop
The room was large and comfortable. the view was nice, like the name says. The check-in staff was friendly and nice. liked the big windows that can open for a bit of breeze.
