We enjoyed our stay in Sigiriya Water Guest & View Point restaurant a lot - the room was big and clean, the host and his family were really nice and helped us a lot when needed! They also made us dinner and served us breakfast with the best view possible! We would definitely recommend and stay again in future.

The location is fabulous. Very close to a number of restaurants and the view of Lion’s Rock is spectacular. The family was very friendly and attentive. Homemade food was fantastic. I had a wonderful visit.

Commission for trip organisation is slightly high. However this seems normal for central Sri Lanka

Location was beautiful, couldn’t be better. Water tower gave incredible views of Lion Rock. We were able to sit and watch all the wildlife, great for bird watching. Family was so lovely and welcoming. We even had a party, with music and singing. We ate dinner once here, and it was some of the best food we have eaten in Sri Lanka. We regretted eating else where on our other evenings. Breakfast was varied and tasty. Host is able to facilitate all organisation of near by trips. Would definitely come back ☺️

It's a cozy place around a kilometer from the Foreigners ' entrance of main Sigiriya Lion Rock entrance. Hence, makes it convenient to visit it. I also hiked to the Pidurangala rock thanks to the early morning Tuktuk arrangement made by the property. Room was very comfortable with all essential amenities. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious. Got a great flavour of local cuisine. And to top it all, view of Sigiriya from the property was like a cherry on the top. Having a coffee and a breakfast in that setting was much more than I had expected.

I had an amazing stay at Sigiriya Water Guest & View Point Restaurant! The host was incredibly helpful, offering personalised tips and local knowledge that made exploring Sigiriya even more enjoyable. The view of Sigiriya Rock from the rooftop was absolutely breathtaking – a true highlight of the experience. My expectations were exceeded in every way, and I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. The location is also perfect for exploring the area. I highly recommend this property to anyone visiting Sigiriya.

We’ve just had a perfect three night stay in this amazing place and don’t want to leave. We were so fortunate to have received the friendliest hospitality and most delicious local food from Sri Lanka’s best hosts Anjulu and his wife Madu. They were so generous they even played local music for us with their youngest son Kaweesha making a memorable guest vocal appearance. Located in an old water tower, our room had the most stunning views of Sigiriya Rock (walking distance) with a comfortable bed, decent bathroom and very welcome air conditioning. It was very peaceful too. Anjulu shared so many helpful tips and always made sure we were happy and welcome. We definitely recommend arranging drivers through him as all ours have been just what we’d hoped and none rushing us at any time. We highly recommend taking a jeep to the National Park and a day trip to Polonnaruwa. A real highlight was the lovely breakfast up on the terrace every morning and dinner down in the garden every night. In summary, we cannot recommend this accommodation highly enough. It is welcoming, full of love and generosity and our room was comfortable and homely. Thank you Anjulu, Madu and family, we hope to come back again one day :))

Fantastic view of Lion Rock from the top floor breakfast balcony. We enjoyed many lovely refreshing fruit juices and cups of tea up there, as well as huge breakfasts each day with a variety of options. We enjoy eating out for dinner in town usually, but we had a superbly cooked evening meal on site twice, sitting in their lovely garden, and we are glad we made that decision. We were even entertained by the family. The rooms are part of a cleverly restored water tower, hence the name. Nice people who went out of their way to chat and get to know us, as well as helping us with local trips.

There were a few ants in the room, but nothing a broom sweep couldn’t handle.

Amazing people that welcome you into their home stay, making it a very homey place. The food, both breakfast and dinner, was absolutely incredible and best we had throughout our holiday in Sri Lanka. Definitely recommend the curry !! They even organized a last minute elephant safari and trip to Dambulla. The room was very clean with a stunning view from the top. It offers incredible price value for the experience that you get. Would definitely recommend anyone staying in Sigiriya.

Everything about this stay was excellent. We needed help with transport which the owner happily helped us with and was there to check us in at 3am. The food was amazing, the best we got in Sri Lanka. Organized a scooter within minutes of asking. The views are also stunning.

Angelo made our stay memorable! The place was really beautiful with amazing views of Lion Rock. He and his wife cooked us typical Sri Lankan breakfast and dinner and it was sooo delicious! He even arranged us a safari tu Hurulu eco Park where we saw so many elephants. Couldn’t recommend more.
