The villa was spotlessly clean and clearly well looked after. The staff were always on hand and really helpful. It was just a gorgeous place to chill and only a 10 / 15 minute walk to the beach, passing lovely people on the way and sometimes monkeys. We would definitely stay again!

We had a great time at the box house. Nice villa and pool and we enjoyed the food they cooked for us... the personal was always available and did everything that you can feel us at home. we recommend this place for sure... for families or group of friends.

Everything was perfect

The intimate setting, impeccable service, and stunning architecture created the perfect backdrop for our stay in Tangalle. The attention to detail, from the charmingly curated decor to the exquisite cuisine, exceeded our expectations. Dillhan and the team went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. We had massage therapy from Glow Tangalle under a canopy of trees in the grounds and a trip to see Whales in Marissa.

All floor lamps and some ceiling lamps in the living room do not work, so the lighting is dim and uncomfortable.

A great place to chill with family and friends. The beds are comfortable, the facilities are tidy and clean, and the staff is friendly and knows what to do and how to treat guests well. I would especially like to mention a good set of dishes for serving the table.

What a fantastic place! Everything looked like in the pictures. We had a remarkable time just hanging out at the pole and enjoying the food that Dilhan and his team where preparing. The space was spotlessly clean and the design of the place is very tasteful. We slept very well in our comfortable beds.

We were a group of 8 people staying for just one night. The villa and its surroundings are just beautiful, you feel like in a movie. The pool is clean and big, and the rooms are very comfortable and roomy. The staff was pleasant and very helpful, and the breakfast was just amazing. Even if it is not directly on the beach, it ia just a 5 min tuktuk drive to it. After staying one night we wanted to atay for one more, but unfortunately for us it was booked.

Its our second time in this villa we was there 2019.and it was even better!The villa is very big and every room have a big bathroom.We love the concept of the box house.The big pool in the middle of the house wich had been cleaned every morning before we woke up.Dilhan and the crew took very good care of us and cook us amazing meals( nudels ,rice,crab,lobster) we are for 1 month in sri lanka and we can say that dilhan cook very good:))It was my bithday and they even surprised me with a cake and wine. Thank you again and see you next time.

we have tried to pay for our stay since day 1, but the host kept telling us ‘later, later’. which resulted in him finally bringing out the credit card machine (despite the many times we asked for it) right when our taxi arrived. and of course, the machine was broken and it was impossible to pay by card. ended up paying in euros in god knows which exchange rate, which naturally was not very convenient for us. another thing was, on the first day the host graciously offered us to use his tuk-tuk to go to the market, which we agreed to. and the next day we took it once more to go get food. and on the checkout we saw the ‘2-days rent tuk-tuk’ for 7,000 rupees. the bike we rented for one day ended up costing 3,000 which is double the usual Sri-Lankan rates. and we didn’t even get a chance to ask any questions about that because the taxi was waiting and we were in a hurry. this situation with the payment ruined what was otherwise really beautiful and pleasant stay!

The property is very tired and needs some maintenance (leaking A/C, smell of humidity, broken blinds etc. No washing machine as announced nor any housekeeping in the rooms during our stay.

Beautiful garden, funky house, nice pool and good breakfast.

As a couple, it was not convenient as we had no privacy because of the staff staying next to the house and very often passing by. Shampoo missing and no shower gel. It's a nice place but not worth the price.

Food is awesome ! Service is great especially Dilhan. The place makes you feel relaxed.
