Ideal for a comfortable and beautiful view location before a flight home. The Dutch Trails is a great restaurant close by for a superb evening meal. Staff were exceptional and very flexible for payments and arranging taxi and tuk tuks. Good food for lunch too!

The hotel is big, with a nice large garden. We stayed just for a night, the room and toilet were clean and comfortable and we were very well attended. They also organized our transfer to the airport (25 mins away).

A few maintenance issues seem evident ; such as the elevator not working and the walls by the pool showing a lot of water damage which need to be looked after

I’ve been to this property before and what brought me back is the location and the pleasantness experienced before . I think the management has changed since and the property is showing few parts wear and tear especially in the common areas . But the staff remains lovely . We came in pretty late in the evening and the manager had informed the staff well and check in was a breeze .

The pool was clean and it was really close to the ocean. The room was clean and spacious. The staff were friendly and the service was good. However, when I tried to contact the hotel to inform them that I was running late, there was no response from the staff. It would be rather inconvenient if there was an emergency and you wanted to get in touch with the hotel.

Loud music was playing nearby and the general decor could done with some TLC.

Good location close to airport and the hotel do a cheap taxi to the airport. Hotel is basic but definitely value for money at the price they charge. We arrived in the evening and had a really good meal at the hotel. Room is basic and there is nothing nearby but good place to rest before/after flying into Colombo.

The breakfast was ok - fresh fruit and either option of omelette or fried egg with toast. Some pastries were provided but they weren’t fresh. The room had a few mostiques & moths which was a little annoying.

It was good for 1 night stay as we arrived early hours in the morning. The family room was huge with plenty of space for 4 (with one being on the sofa bed with the mattress on the floor). The hotel is a bit dated but clean & quiet. The staff were very friendly. We seem to be the only guests and the manager was kind enough to let us checkout late. He also arranged for a taxi to collect us from the airport. We didn't use the pool or any other facilities.

Not much to complain about

The property is fairly close to the airport. You can used an Uber or ask for a transfer. It’s quite new and clean. The pool is also nice and big. The beach cannot be accessed but the view from the hotel is nice and pleasant. Food was good although slightly expensive for the country. Room is spacious with wifi and international channels. All in one, that’s a convenient place for a one stop before flying out or moving elsewhere.

We booked for two nights night as we had a 28hr layover at Colombo, the staff were up waiting for us to check in at 5am and were very friendly, we slept most of the day so missed breakfast and checked out early so missed the breakfast the next day so they insisted that our food dinner was complimentary. They also organised our car back to the airport at 4am the next day! Room was huge and clean and comfortable.

An otherwise wonderful stay was off to a horrible start due to an obnoxious group of daytime visitors who were making a complete racket next to the pool: they were drunk and had karaoke on full blast. The hotel staff was not able to control them, and once we asked them to keep it down in the public area, we were subject to racist verbal abuse for more than an hour (in colourful native Sinhala). Not wanting to escalate it further (and probably get even worse treatment from the large group of drunk men), we endured it until they eventually left. Apparently there are regular daytime visitors to this location, and clearly the hotel management is unable to ensure that they do not ruin the peace and quiet the guests would expect from such a location. You are basically at the mercy of the visitors to keep things pleasant. We recommend checking with the hotel staff about the schedule before booking.

Elegantly designed premises with a nice, partially covered swimming pool. The hotel is right next to the beach (though not swimmable as there’s a large reef). Good facilities that are well-maintained and clean. Friendly, courteous staff.

Didn´t know that it was not possible to swim in the ocean from that place and a lot of trash on the beach but nice for a walk on the beach. The food is ok!

It is a nice little place with very friendly and helpful staff. Great "airport" hotel since it is only 20 min drive to the airport. Spacious and modern rooms. Nice pool. Nice of the staff to open up earlier for breakfast for us, very appreciated.

Toilet was very hot and with windows that were not able to be fully closed. Asked for a stand up fan but none was available unfortunately at the facility AC could have been more cold specially if staying in summer months.

Beach access was very nice. Pool was clean. Staff was helpful. While there was no driver accommodation facilities for my driver, the owner/manager was quick to assist with a separate room booking for him on short notice.

Some things in the room didn't feel as clean as we would expect from a 4-star hotel - towels, sheets, mugs etc. Although we knew that the beach wouldn't be suitable for swimming, there was a bit of an unpleasant smell coming up from the beach for some of the time we were there.

For us this was a place to chill out for our last night in Sri Lanka, as an alternative to busy Colombo. The room was comfortable, the pool was lovely with a nice view out to sea. The evening meal we had was delicious. The staff were very kind and helpful.
